Is God evil, just because he fails to prevent suffering?
by defender of truth ina poster on another thread made the following comment, that really made me think.. it is about god: .
"imo i would say [god is] not evil but just indifferent.
apathy allows it.

For me , a mere human, if I can help someone, prevent their suffering, aid them I do. How more so should a god?
I don't believe in god anyway sooooooo....

I would expand that to include all religion (being an athiest I pretty much see all religion as cultish)
Many times relgion gives a person a moral guide line - yes some people do need to be told. Relgion can give someone piece of mind, help them to pull themselves together or gives them hope. Nothing wrong with that. It's when it comes too, I'm right and you're wrong that things go pear shaped and 9 times out 10 it goes pear shaped.

Women Please give us men a little credit, we are not so dumb.

eggs in a tuna salad - um no thanks!
There's the man's way and there's the women's way. Women's way usually makes more sense *chuckle*

Faith in what? Lies? God? People?
I let the so called faith go. I let go of the lies, I let go of the gods, I let go of the people.
I have faith in me.

Sheez that is fantastic. I've fortunately been to the Tower of London a couple of times and have enjoyed the tales of that place. The pics are dramatic and epic.

Welcome NoMoreHustle. I'm so please that you will not allow the cult to hustle you about. It can be hard at times when your knowlege about the cult expands you may find it more difficult to keep quiet. For now though, I am happy your eyes are opening.

how is it that some fade out of the org and others seem to be pushed?
by sowhatnow ini cant figure out how some persons like my husband and son, simply got too 'busy' and gradually stopped going to meetings, and were totally left alone, and yet some persons.
seem to indicate that people were constantly in persuit of them, for a way to disfellowship them.. the ones who fade never get 'disfellowshiped' unless they write a letter formally requesting thier name be of the membership.. just like the jw org tells people who get baptised to do to thier former church,.
i havent been to a meeting in a few months however it is also under a 'remodel' im sure im not missed.

My mother faded and nothing was done. Then suddenly 8 years later she was disfellowshipped. She didn't write a letter. They are a law unto themselves. You can only control what you do.
