Because it turned out that the man who did the voice had to leave because he had a heart attack (or something like that), and then a Scientologist woman took it upon herself to tell the producers he had left because of the Sciento-episode. Most of them really are controlling freaks!
do you have the impression that some still think that you're a jw?.
let it be old friends or acquaintances or work collegues or even family, did you take the time to tell them that you're no longer a jw?.
i know that my cousins think that i'm still a jw.
I don't know why...but many strangers see me once and then recognize me after. So I'm quite paranoid that all those people I saw at the doors will see me and think I'm still a JW. It's kind of humiliating, to have people think you're in a cult.
A few weeks ago, I was eating at A&W with my two little brothers, and two women kept looking at us...and I know I heard words like cult and poor kids, complete with a few nasty looks when they thought I wasn't looking. I know I should'nt care, they are strangers...but still, I made an effort to look very un-JW, talking louder and messing around with my little bros, talking to them about their christmas gifts. I really wished that I would have worn some of my jewellery that day...ank cross, pentagram or the likes...a quick flash of that and it clears everything up.
i was listening to a testimonial by valerie acuff and she said that she was sitting in an assembly, looking around at the crowd and thinking to herself, "this is your family, these are your people.".
she said at that moment she heard a voice inside say, "these are not your people, this is not your family, get up and leave now, and don't ever go back.
" so she took her two children at that very moment and left, and she never went back.
I was in my father's office in the basement, on a nice Sunday morning, and he was pestering me about preparing my WT study. (I was about 20 years old) I looked outside, it was a sunny, happy day and I felt like crap, and depressed....and I realised at that moment that it was because of the meetings and everything that went with it.
So I told my dad that I wouldn't prepare that study or any other, and that I wouldn't be going to the meetings from now on. It came as quite a shock, even for me.
But I guess the real realization came afterwards while I was sitting at my computer.

a judge's ruling has cleared the way for a wrongful death lawsuit filed on behalf of a teenaged jehovah's witness who lost her fight with leukemia.
I've heard that on the News Radio all day!! And this is the kind of very popular radio that constantly repeats the news all day long, so probably everyone in Canada will have heard it before tonight.
It's so very sad for the people it has happened too, but hopefully, it might open some eyes.
I just sent the video to my father (who has recently decided to shun me.)...sent it with "elder telling court that JWs do not shun their family members, just not talk about spirituality"...attached to it.
Will update on how that goes.
i have been daed for months but only recently, after having asked every and each person he could ask (even writting a letter to the wt), my dad decided he couldn't talk to me anymore.
it has hit my non-jw mother very hard that her husband could do that.
she cries a lot, but we are trying to be strong and hold ourselves together, and try in anyway we can to make him open his eyes..... tomorrow, i have decided to leave the crisis of conscience book on his desk with a with page on it, written on big black letters that will say.... "i was wondering if every man would be capable of shunning his own children and break up his family because of a group of men.. then i realised that no, some men have chosen to open their eyes and *truly* follow jesus, example...... with love, your daughter".

I just sent this video by email to my dad...I just hope he hasn't blocked my address.
I would so want to scan the letter...but I think there are good chances that the WTS could track it down and know to whom they sent it....that's why I'm so hesitant...perhaps I should wait for more developpement for my dad, knowing I looked into his stuff could aleniate him even more...
