I admire the the JWs knowledge of OT scriptures and stories.
In reality, the JWs are just as blind as other Christians as to just how disgusting the 'god' depicted in the Old Testament actually is. They're more than happy to cherry-pick the 'nice(r)' bits.

Since the 70s, they've reduced the number of references to both Jehovah and Jesus in the 'Yearbooks'.
What your chart actually demonstrates is the general reduction in content in JW publications.
Also, the search engine picks up "Jehovah's" when searching for Jehovah. So of course the literature of Jehovah's Witnesses is going to have more references to Jehovah than Jesus.

JW's pay a lot more attention to Jehovah than they pay to Jesus Christ.
So does the Bible. Horrible old Jehovah does a whole bunch of killing, usually for serious crimes like not being Jewish, or picking up sticks on the weekend, and poor old 'Jesus' doesn't get mentioned until more than half way through. And then he dies. Talk about antichrist!

In my conversations with JWs, they seem to assure me that, as Christians, they follow Christ JUST like it says in the Bible (that they admitted to not having time to read)... *sigh*
Every single Christian denomination (including the JWs) 'follows Christ JUST like their interpretation of the Bible'. There is nothing special or remarkable about this, nor is there anything especially good or proper or moral about Christians as distinct from anyone else.

As a nontrinitarian group, it's entirely unsurprising that JWs refer to Jehovah more than they refer to Jesus. But JW is also a Christian religion (and I really don't care about the people who have their 'special' definitions of a 'real' or 'true' 'Christian'), and anyone who says JWs don't also refer to Jesus quite a lot (or claims that there has been some calculated effort to reduce the amount he is mentioned) is a liar.
Whether JWs (or anyone) 'should' refer to 'Jesus' 'more' is entirely subjective, and lacks any meaningful benchmark anyway.

It obviously won't find publications that simply aren't on the disc. I'm going to assume you meant 1950. There are no issues of The Watchtower prior to 1950 and no issues of Awake! prior to 1970 on the Watchtower Library CD. However, there is no 'selective search results' for those publications that are on the disc.
