  just a reminder about spammers.. please ignore them!.

  they are idiots, we have a real "gay-for-j" zealot right now who hasn't got the message that they are not wanted and no one is interested in their bible-fantasy gibberish.

  there's a certain irony that their own site is covered in "don't spam" rules but they think it's acceptable to do it to others.

  I Care a Lot (2020) One of the worst movies I think I've ever seen

  my wife and i were intrigued by the trailer, which looked like a humorous, over the top, dark comedy.. the story centers around the unscrupulousness of a female attorney named marla grayson (rosamund pike) who makes her living by preying on old people.

  grayson has her victims declared mentally incompetent, locks them away in a care facility she has bought off and then liquidates and pockets their assets as their court appointed guardian.. (spoilers ahead).

  ms. grayson humorously makes the mistake of singling out a seemingly helpless retiree name jennifer peterson (dianne wiest) as her next target.. grayson however, quickly discovers that peterson has millions of dollars in diamonds in a safe deposit box and far from being helpless is the mother of roman lunyov, (peter dinklage) a russian mafia figure who is not terribly happy with this turn of events.. up to this point, the movie was great.

  Yes, she died at the end. It's called dramatic irony. She (an anti-hero) 'defeats' the powerful big bad villain against all odds but gets her comeuppance from the 'little guy' (probably not an unintended metaphorical comparison to Dinklage's character) that she dismissed at the beginning of the film.

  I'm actually not (irony intended). But a lot of threads on this forum are highly politicised, and anyone who doesn't agree 100% with the preferred narrative is automatically labelled as being the polar opposite with little regard to their actual position. You're a bit like Jesus at Matthew 12:30, but maybe a better example to follow would be that of Jesus at Mark 9:40. 😂

  “Are being discriminated against” implies a specific situation as opposed to simply asking whether it happens at all. There is a difference between actual racism that affects people and the kind of nonsense in buzzfeed and tabloid media though. But even after clearly articulating that anti-white racism does occur in general society, I got ridiculed and misrepresented anyway. 🤣 Seems that racism isn’t the only kind of discrimination on the ‘increase’.

  Nope. I have consistently stated throughout this thread that anti-white racism exists in general society.

  If these things didn't happen 20 years ago (and I don't believe they did) ...

  ‘Indigenous identified’ positions were a thing here 20 and 30 years ago. I haven’t seen an increase. But they’re usually for low pay in remote areas.

  'cause if you live in any western country, the latter is probably a lie.

  I added “where I live” because it seems there is more of this nonsense in the US (for which I can’t speak) than here. But I very clearly stated that I haven’t seen an increase where I live so your insinuation that I said it doesn’t occur is a plain old misrepresentation of my position.

  I don't think the question was "have you experienced it yourself or seen it directly”.

  As opposed to unverifiable anecdotes? I haven’t noticed an increase of those in regard to anti-white racism here either but if I had I would probably discount them as unverifiable anecdotes until I had considered the evidence. I suppose there could have been some cases in tabloid journalism that I’ve missed though I’m still not aware that would constitute an increase.

  Just because you personally haven’t had it happen to you doesn’t mean that it’s obviously part of the way things are.

  You do enjoy being contrarian. I didn’t say that it simply hasn’t happened to me personally, nor did I say that anti-white racism doesn’t exist in general society. I indicated that I haven’t observed an increase in general society outside of the nonsense. I am referring to my local observations, not merely my own experience.

  You don't think these have any real effect on people's day-to-day life?

  I haven’t seen an increase of this where I live (and what you listed would fall under the category of racism in general society). The thread asked for personal observations. I can’t speak for the entire planet. Nor is this the type of racism to which I specifically referred.

  It’s not clear how ‘personal notes’ about people who are not members or no longer members are for the ‘pastoral care of congregants’. The ‘personal communications’ are about the individuals who want access to their information, so we’re not dealing with some noble desire to protect private information from the general public. They shouldn’t keep records of people who don’t want their information retained, and people should have a right to know what is being said about them where it impacts their lives e.g. by shunning or slander. There’s no good reason why religious groups should get any special treatment for keeping personal information, especially when it is a nature for which other organisations would be penalised as discriminatory. (The article refers to information as a result of judicial committees so we’re not just talking about simple details like name and address, though they also have no right to track those details of non members.)
