Not remotely aware or concerned about what these particular celebrities are getting up to. But what is more concerning is that these kind of tabloid nonsense sources that spout this drivel, much of which is fabricated and replete with doctored images, are frequently the same outlets that many people turn to for actual 'news', the presentation of which is usually of equal 'quality'.

The right to not be exposed to ideas I don’t like or agree with?
by EdenOne inok, i would like to submit to the forum the following question: in abstract, do you think that there is a right to not being exposed to ideas that you don’t like or disagree with?
please think it through and its implications on both ends of the spectrum.. it’s not the right to conscientious objection to do something you vehemently disagree with; it’s not about the liberty to chose which ideas you want to embrace or advocate.
it’s something different.. given that, as exjws, we understand the importance of being exposed to different opinions in order to form our own opinion, should someone claim the right not to be exposed to opinions or ideas that they don’t like?

No, to ‘not be exposed to ideas’ isn’t a ‘right’, certainly not in the way the term is normally used. It’s basically repackaging the idea of ‘the right to not be offended’.

to bash the said forums in his videos at every opportunity he gets, saying “oh by the way, I won’t recommend that forum to my viewers or to any JWs waking up” or “I can’t recommend that exjw community on reddit to any JW waking up; it’s become unhealthy and un-moderated.”
I don’t watch all of Evans’ videos, but I haven’t seen any where he’s even mentioned JW forums let alone ‘bash’ them. It’s certainly possible that he has done so, but it definitely isn’t ‘at every opportunity’. I’m guessing you’re referring to something he said in a ‘livestream’.

Maybe they figure the Russian authorities won’t be on the lookout for it if it’s not promoted.

Some Other Terms For The "Big Bang".....
by titch infolks: as you probably all know, it has been speculated that the whole universe, or cosmos, started with what has been called "the big bang.
" but, i've thought up some other terms for the "bb".
how about the big boom....or, the big kaboom....or, the big explosion...the big ignition...or...the big cosmic fartation.
-

It’s more an ‘expansion’ than ‘explosion’. The term ‘Big Bang’ was first used to clearly distinguish the model from the steady-state cosmological model. The term does not refer to a disordered explosion.
It also wasn’t necessarily the ‘beginning’. We have no way of determining what happened before that, or if ‘before that’ is even possible. But there are various hypotheses including several wherein it is not ‘the beginning’.

It is a curious juxtaposition among uber-liberals that ‘gender is a social construct’ and there’s more genders to choose from than Baskin-Robbins, but ‘trans women are real women’ (and vice verse).
Just let people live their own lives and ‘identify’ however they like. (The people who point out that gender dysphoria is a mental illness rarely seem actually concerned for the well-being of trans people anyway.) There are only a few areas where there is any impact on anyone else (such as professional sports or very young children being ‘raised as trans’; the ‘trans bathrooms’ thing is a non-issue inflamed by right-wing sources).
Aside from a few noisy annoying activists and ‘athletes’, most trans people are just trying to live their private lives like everyone else.

Anony Mous:
Thus far it has ruined:
That’s an exaggeration. Actually, there’s just been a notable instance in each of those sports.
But even in the case of world records, if the rules are fixed up, then those records would be disqualified. so it’s hardly the case that it’s been permanently ruined.
Again, it takes 1 person to permanently ruin the chances of any female to ever attain prominence in the sport.
Unless you’re suggesting that a person can only be prominent in a sport if they hold the world record, that statement is clearly false.

no one mentions the simple test for XX or XY chromosomes in order to determine who may compete. Does anyone know why that is?
Chromosome testing was used for the Olympics between 1968 and 1999 but discontinued due to occasional anomalies (though I am not personally convinced that the anomalies would be so frequent to rule it out as the primary method of determination). See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sex_verification_in_sports -

Yes, that would seem to be the most straightforward method of determination for competitive sports. I’m not sure that there are so many trans athletes that it is quite the catastrophe for women’s sport that has been suggested, but there have been some very obvious examples of unfair advantage.
I’m yet to hear of a case of a trans man desperately trying to complete in men’s sports.
