Anyway, due to the nature of how vaccines work, reactions caused by a vaccine (other than allergic reactions to the medium) are generally a much milder form of how the individual would react to the virus (for example, blood clots and heart conditions that may affect long term health have been observed in COVID-19 patients), so if someone were to experience one of the more severe conditions you’ve suggested as a result of the vaccine, they would be highly likely to have a greater risk of such a condition if they were to contract COVID-19. So your objection to the vaccine still falls flat. As previously stated, individuals should consult their own doctor regarding possible risks relating to their own personal or family medical history.

This was funny too. You falsely claim that my accurate juxtaposition (for humorous purposes) of comparable statistics of death rates was ‘intellectually dishonest’, then you go on to compare deaths from COVID in people under 18 with heart conditions in young people of unspecified age that occurred after (but not necessarily in all cases caused by) vaccination.

In case it’s not obvious, individuals should talk to their doctor about which vaccine is best for them or if they should not be vaccinated due to relevant risks.

That’s a straight up lie. Not sure what possible motivation I would have to intentionally do that, but it’s unsurprising you move to a personal attack when you don’t like what I say.

It may be the case that certain types of shared living make it more difficult to effectively isolate but at no point have I intentionally misled anyone. It remains the case that someone in such accommodation has breached the regulations to introduce the virus into the shared space.

Regardless of your claim about the Lancet’s political leanings (which I have not verified), the Lancet does have a reputation for accurate scientific reporting though.

Anyway, the article suggests COVID might remain viable in the air for up to three hours, but this does not support the claim that people diligently isolated in their own homes would still get infected.

As with many of your intellectually dishonest posts, this is incorrect. VAERS reports adverse effects experienced after vaccination, not merely caused by vaccination. It includes deaths as a result of conditions unrelated to the vaccine. It’s still a staggeringly small percentage of total vaccination numbers, and it is not a valid representation of deaths caused by the vaccines.

The claim that ‘anyone with flu gets lumped in with COVID’ is obviously false because there are still flu statistics. Other posters have already provided information about why flu numbers were seasonally low, and the US is not currently in flu season.

If someone literally isolated themselves so that they had no contact with anyone potentially infected, it would be physically impossible to contract the virus, even if they weren’t vaccinated. So either you, or the anecdotes you’re alluding to, are lying. It remains the case that it is the stupid people flouting regulations who massively increase the vectors for spreading the virus far beyond what would be the case of occasional inadvertent breaches.

COVID keeps spreading because stupid people keep flouting regulations, as well as the more infectious Delta variant in recent months. That’s not to say that no regulations go beyond what is necessary. But reckless stupidity is more harmful than being overly cautious. Also, the US flu season hasn’t begun yet.
