Gog from Magog
by Kosonen ini saw an other thread about what the wt says who or what gog is.. my speculation is based on the following:.
in the end un will get the power for a short while, as taught in the wt literature.
this is based on revelation 17:12-14: "the ten horns that you saw mean ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but they do receive authority as kings for one hour with the wild beast.

Vidqun:
Compare the Ezekiel passages with Isaiah and Micah (not apocalyptic):
The phrase final part of the days simply refers to hypothetical future events. The phrase lends nothing to their credibility. It does not indicate anything that will actually happen. But even if it did, it would not mean that it referred to anything that would happen soon rather than some still distant future. (But it doesn't.)
The fact that things 'prophesied' in the Bible 'haven't happened yet' is not evidence that they will happen in the future.

You do realise, I hope, that just because someone says something is a âprophecyâ, it doesnât actually mean it will really happen. You still seem caught up on thinking that calling something a âprophecyâ means it actually has predictive power.

No. If I say the sun will turn into cheese, the fact that it hasnât happened yet doesnât make it a âprophecyâ. Saying something is a âpredictionâ is not the same as something having predictive power.
If youâre saying that all types of prediction come under the category of âprophecyâ, then, also no. Meteorologists do not prophesy the weather.
If youâre saying that any assertion about the future is a âprophecyâ, then, yes, but only in a pointless kind of way.

Vidqun:
The phrase âacharith hayyamim (= the latter part of the days) corresponds with a new era in human history.
It is an element of the apocalyptic genre. It doesnât have anything to do with our era though. The genre doesnât actually have predictive powers, and the âpropheciesâ necessarily refer only to a hypothetical period.

No. Nothing in Ezekiel or Revelation has anything at all to do with China or the UN.

Gog of Magog
by Truth and Justice incan someone explain or produce any information about what the new views are about the subject of gog of magog.

Truth and Justice:
I would also like to make a very strong opinion. When a Witness wanted to discuss a chapter in Daniel, and I believe if not mistaken, it was chapter 11. She was telling me all the societies teaching in this chapter. What was so striking was she came up with names of individuals (regards to the characters in the chapter) that were NOT EVEN MENTIONED IN THE CHAPTER OF THE BIBLE.
The JW interpretation is based on the Adventist interpretation.

I can see why it would be tempting to think that âBabylon the Greatâ is Jerusalem based on the âget out of herâ as an analogy for Jerusalemâs destruction, but that is incorrect.
Though earlier writing of the âgospelsâ is traditionally proposed to make parts seem prophetic, there is no tradition of an earlier writing of Revelation. The destruction of Jerusalem, including references to the period from 66-70, is already described in Revelation chapter 11. The destruction of âBabylon the Greatâ refers to a later (hypothetical) destruction of Rome.
Revelation 17:9 identifies âBabylon the Greatâ as sitting on 7 hills, easily recognised as âthe seven hills of Romeâ. Revelation 17:18 also says âBabylon the Greatâ is a city with a kingdom over other kings, which very accurately describes the relationship between Rome and its various client kingdoms (one of which was Judea). Those descriptions do not fit Jerusalem.
Hence, âget out of herâ is better seen as a warning to Christians to avoid Rome. This would be particularly relevant during Trajanâs reign when Revelation was likely written.
