‘scholar’:
pretty coloured charts
‘scholar’s’ ability to understand things apparently doesn’t extend beyond ‘liking pretty colours’. You have to read the words too.
in my studies, i have concluded that year 530 bc was when the destruction of jerusalem occurred and the temple destroyed.
i had determined this prior to investigation of vat4956.
i had already found that the jubilees, sabbaticals, courses of the priests, and chronology attested to this.

As usual, comments from ‘scholar’ (just parroting Watch Tower Society chronology) can simply be ignored.

jwposter:
Solomon's Temple was dedicated in 950 BC.
The historicity of Solomon is debatable, but biblical chronology would put the completion of the temple in 959 BCE.
Then you have the 390 years of the Kings as spoken of by Ezekiel 4.
The 390 years began in 929 BCE, and ended in 539 BCE. (Note that the Septuagint version has a different period, which neatly corresponds to the period from the exile of Israelites to Assyria in 732 BCE during Pekah’s reign to the final deportation in 582 BCE referenced in Jeremiah 52:30. This suggests the 390 years was a later edit from the original.) See also 390 days (from review of Pure Worship.)

‘scholar’:
No need for wonder. The said scholar lacks competence in matters of astro-astronomy and use of the various and numerous astronomical software even though he has some of these installed on the computer.
Hence, I defer to the scholarship of Rolf Furuli

Chronology alone settles the issue of whether there can be a a destruction of the temple in 586/585 BC
It was 587BCE.

I wonder if ‘scholar’ will provide valid planetary observations for 588 before jwposter does for 512. 🤣

joey jojo:
In their article - When was Jerusalem destroyed? (2011), they mention planets but do not cite what the tablets say about them, choosing to focus on the moon eclipses, which are prone to error and mis-interpretation.
Ah, yes... that dishonest piece of drivel... it's little wonder they avoid discussion of the planets.

Feel free to let me know if any errors. (Not you, jwposter, you're not qualified.)

Which planet is in front?
How about half an hour later?
How about half an hour after that?
