We know this because the dedication of the Temple is in the 60th Jubilee. ... Now since the Temple was dedicated in 950 BC, we can see that the 50th Jubilee was 490 years earlier in 1440 BC (crossing of the Jordan).

The temple reportedly took 7 years to build, so this word salad about the temple being dedicated 490 years after the end of the exodus (which is wrong anyway) would mean either that the 480 years ended 3 years before the end of the exodus, or that the temple was completed 487 years after the exodus ended.

Still waiting for those details about Praesepe...

Not sure if they were using the astronomical year or the actual year but I assume it had to be the astronomical year.

Of course you assume that, because you want it to be more consistent with your view. But no one who knows anything about astronomical years says “511 BCE” if they are actually talking about the astronomical year -511 (510 BCE). The old thread never mentions astronomical years. 512BCE and 511BCE are both dismal failures for the observations in VAT 4956.

There is some manipulation in the findings from the the original analysis from N & W

Hmmm… the nutter in the other thread was spruiking 511 BCE, whereas the current one is going for 512BCE. And the current one is more obsessed about jubilees than the other. But there were 21 years in between, so it’s possible that the old drivel has been adapted over time. Hard to be sure.

Nope. Isaac is more of a legendary character rather than an actual historical person. Aside from that, dating biblical characters prior to the exodus depends on how the ‘430 years in Egypt’ is interpreted (though both interpretations are internally contradictory). Neither places Isaac’s birth in 1910 BCE.

you have to have the Sabbatical years line up, the Jubilees line up, the 24 Courses of the Priests must line up.

Entirely false. Superstition and tradition don’t trump what actually happened. Even if you really really want it to.

We have to remember that the week is referencing 6000 years of rule for man.

Good grief. We really don’t. It’s a myth. It’s a culturally significant myth. But it is not an accurate description of human history.

By using that means of calculation, you can easily read the Book of Jubilees.

The book of Jubilees, a work of the second century BCE, contains spurious information about myths up until the purported time of Moses. It isn’t about Solomon’s temple, the destruction of Jerusalem, or Jesus.

I thought this thread was about how amazingly VAT4956 confirms 530 BCE for the destruction of the temple.

I’ve confirmed you’re using an impossible date for the solstice, invalidated your interpretation of the fish, demolished your incorrect use of ‘in front’ and ‘behind’, and shown Jupiter wasn’t acronychal. Now… Praesepe…
