Gog from Magog
by Kosonen ini saw an other thread about what the wt says who or what gog is.. my speculation is based on the following:.
in the end un will get the power for a short while, as taught in the wt literature.
this is based on revelation 17:12-14: "the ten horns that you saw mean ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but they do receive authority as kings for one hour with the wild beast.

Others will ignore prophecy to their detriment. I go on God's track record on prophecy and so far I am impressed. For you, wait and see.
It's always amusing when 'believers' resort to these bizarre by-proxy death threats when they can't provide any evidence for their beliefs.

Compare the Ezekiel passages with Isaiah and Micah (not apocalyptic):
The phrase final part of the days simply refers to hypothetical future events. The phrase lends nothing to their credibility. It does not indicate anything that will actually happen. But even if it did, it would not mean that it referred to anything that would happen soon rather than some still distant future. (But it doesn't.)
The fact that things 'prophesied' in the Bible 'haven't happened yet' is not evidence that they will happen in the future.

You do realise, I hope, that just because someone says something is a âprophecyâ, it doesnât actually mean it will really happen. You still seem caught up on thinking that calling something a âprophecyâ means it actually has predictive power.

No. If I say the sun will turn into cheese, the fact that it hasnât happened yet doesnât make it a âprophecyâ. Saying something is a âpredictionâ is not the same as something having predictive power.
If youâre saying that all types of prediction come under the category of âprophecyâ, then, also no. Meteorologists do not prophesy the weather.
If youâre saying that any assertion about the future is a âprophecyâ, then, yes, but only in a pointless kind of way.

The phrase âacharith hayyamim (= the latter part of the days) corresponds with a new era in human history.
It is an element of the apocalyptic genre. It doesnât have anything to do with our era though. The genre doesnât actually have predictive powers, and the âpropheciesâ necessarily refer only to a hypothetical period.

No. Nothing in Ezekiel or Revelation has anything at all to do with China or the UN.
