  Removing verses form the NWT

  the jw org has removed certain verses from their nwt version, claiming usually that what is removed is not found in the oldest mss, that claim is fair enough, until you ask a simple question, this :.

  " if you are going to remove interpolations from the bible, where do you stop?"..

  Disillusioned JW:

  Several months ago I started thinking that the WT should adopt their own canon of the NT, one which excludes the books which NT critical scholars say are written under a false name (and that future WT revisions of the NWT should reflect that revised canon). For example, the WT should exclude the Letter of 2 Peter and the Letter to Titus.

  Why? The Watch Tower Society doesn't care about verses of the Bible that directly contradict their beliefs, let alone what professional scholars have to say about the Bible canon.

  according to “all scriptures inspired” book, there is a gap between the creation of adam and the creation of eve and her marriage to adam.

  it was at that point in time when eve was created that marked the end of the 6th creative day and the beginning of god’s rest, the 7th day as recorded in genesis.

  Obviously Adam and Eve are fictitious tropes from a primitive creation myth that was adapted from parts of the Epic of Gilgamesh.

  But setting that fact aside, JW chronology is hopelessly wrong not only because of their erroneous botched interpretation of the neo-Babylonian period but also because of their (Protestant) interpretation that the Israelites ‘going into slavey in Egypt’ started when Isaac was briefly teased by his half-brother, long before there were any Israelites. 🤦‍♂️ (This apologetic nonsense was adopted because the more ostensible beginning of the period from when Jacob - aka Israel - supposedly went into Egypt contradicts other biblical chronology.)

  It can’t be stressed enough that no part of those stories is historical. But if we are to pretend that they are, then based on what the Bible actually says, 6,000 years since Adam’s creation would actually have ended in 1833.

  How to debunk the 1914 calculus ONLY using JW publications?

  i remember having read somewhere, but i cannot find it anymore, that it is possible to debunk the 1914 calculus using only jw publications, like "insight on the scriptures" (chronologies) for example.. do you have any sources about that to suggest to me?.
