Can you explain how JWs changing their 1914 doctrine would affect jwposter’s unrelated Adventist lunar sabbath views? In the context of this thread where his view is unaffected by the JW doctrine but I have a website debunking the JW doctrine, can you not understand why it would seem you were also ridiculing my work (at least as to its usefulness independent of its quality)?

VAT4956 - 530 BC destruction of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar
by jwposter inin my studies, i have concluded that year 530 bc was when the destruction of jerusalem occurred and the temple destroyed.
i had determined this prior to investigation of vat4956.
i had already found that the jubilees, sabbaticals, courses of the priests, and chronology attested to this.

Good grief. 🤦♂️
Me and KalebOutWest for the most part have the same information on Lunar Sabbaths in antiquity. I don't see where Jeffro has shown any distinction from what I have wrote compared to what Kaleb has stated.
‘In antiquity’ is vague pandering here. But anyone paying the slightest attention knows that jwposter’s claim that the Jews observed a lunar sabbath in the second temple period was directly refuted by KalebOutWest.
I'm sorry to say this KalebOutWest but you caught in the hate beam exhibited by the soul of Jeffro. Hopefully, she continues to make amends to you.
Just a reflection of dealing with people like you. I haven’t bothered mentioning until now either, but it hasn’t gone unnoticed that jwposter has several times childishly tried to goad me with asinine ‘misgendering’, which has no relevance to anything.

KalebOutWest:
Why are you like this, thinking I was writing something negative about you? I didn't even have you in mind in those words as they were directed at jwposter.
In that case I apologise. But you said that JWs abandoning 1914 makes arguing about VAT 4956 a waste of time. jwposter (whose position is that Nebuchadnezzar’s 37th year was 512BCE) isn’t arguing for 1914 at all, so it didn’t seem you were only addressing jwposter, whose separate view is not at all affected by a change to JWs’ 1914 doctrine. It therefore seemed you were ridiculing any discussion about VAT 4956.
I thought you did a wonderful job.
But you couldn’t just say that in the same post as saying arguing about VAT 4956 is a waste of time?

Please excuse Jeffro for crying foul against LunarSabbaths. He/She doesn't accept this information from antiquity. But I do appreciate it.
Nice try, but your Adventist lunar sabbath nonsense is not the same thing at all as the lunar sabbaths practiced at a much earlier time, which I already noted from the Jewish Encyclopaedia when you were misquoting (actually just pasting from a nutter website) it several days ago in this thread.

I never said anything about there being no coregencies or that there were coregencies
Notice the complete lack of detail. There seems to be a complete lack of awareness that any coregencies destroys his mantra that you can just ‘add up the numbers’. And Ezekiel4:4-5 still isn’t about the people of Judah anyway.

GB Update #2, March 2024: Women allowed to wear pants, no ties/coats required if not giving a talk, & now able to greet DF ones in the KH!
by WingCommander inyou heard me correct, this is not a joke, and it is not april fools day!
the asl portion of the governing body updated #2 (march 2024) has been released a bit early and someone caught it.

Ron.W.:
People being able to acknowledge/say a warm greeting to me would have made a massive difference to me back then...
This is precisely why this new change is just more emotional manipulation. If, and only if, someone shows interest in returning do they get the slightest bit of attention.

I initiated my post to this forum for the purpose of showing that the 1914 idea is defeated by VAT4956. But my purpose for VAT4956 comparison is beyond the JWs. It speaks to additional evidence that the -511 (512 BCE) is the 37th year of Nebuchadnezzar and therefore is showing further the timeline that academia is using is wrong for the Neo Babylonian era.
Your Adventist lunar sabbath nonsense attempting to rewrite all of antiquity is completely wrong from start to finish.
KalebOutWest:
So all this arguing over Vat 4956 is useless.
KalebOutWest has spoken. No need to go any further. 🙄 Demonstrating to other readers specifically why a view (that seeks to significantly influence their lives) is incorrect is never useless. Concision in doing so is often also more useful than pasting walls of text. Time will tell regarding the veracity of the rumours about 1914 being dropped. It will be interesting to see how the likes of ‘scholar’ respond if that happens though. But dropping 1914 won’t have any effect on the nutty views of jwposter, who follows a different brand of nonsense entirely, for which a correct examination of VAT 4956 remains relevant in any case.

God, one person, or three?
by slimboyfat inthe trinity doctrine says god is three persons in one being.. yet the bible says god is one.. gal 3.20 a mediator, however, implies more than one party; but god is one.
niv.
gal 3.20 now a mediator is not for just one person, but god is one.

Yahweh became the only god who should be worshipped, according the religious leaders in Judah, but it seems they were still Henotheists more than real Monotheists IMO.
Indeed. My choice of the word 'transitioned', suggesting a gradual shift over time rather than just becoming strict monotheists right away, was quite intentional. :)

Go read the Bible and count the years of the Reigns. Its there. Go count it.
It would be interesting (that's probably the wrong word) to see how doofus would reconcile 2 Kings 1:17 and 2 Kings 8:16 within his (borrowed) assertion that there weren't any co-regencies.

There is a ‘lunar sabbath movement’, it’s not just something he’s come up with entirely on his own. It is a fringe branch of Adventism, with no widespread support, and no scholarly support. Much much smaller than JWs. It’s complete nonsense of course.
