Recently there has been mention of assemblies with credit card machines for contributions. It was also mentioned on the last six screens call I think at the Stanley theatre. Has any one seen this taking place? If you have please post the place and date, I would like to know more about it. This is something that really ticks me off. Having served this group for so many years . To think that people would be asked to go into debt to donate to this organization is mind boggling. Thanks in advance

An Open Letter To Jehovah's Witnesses
by Tired of the Hypocrisy ina friend over at http://christianwitnesses.com/ sent me a letter for distribution to jehovah's witnesses.
it raises many issues that everyone, jws and everyone alike should be aware of.
i turned it into a video with text and music.

Why do you think that some are more "controlled" by the WBTS than others?
by easyreader1970 ini used to think that maybe it was just the people who were raised in the truth, especially from infancy.
they didn't know what life outside of the organization was so it was all they had to cling to.
but that's obviously wrong because many, many have left--happily--never to return.

Man do I know how you feel I go through this daily from my wife. I feel very bad for you. I really beleive that the problem lies in the fact that they are unable to think for themselves. It is really sad. For the most part there are many that I love in that org so I can not go anywhere. I must keep quiet outside of my family and just have my own mind on things. PM me if you want to talk

i was raised in the troof and therefor never "chose" it.
i find it really hard to get my head around why anyone would ever join this organization as an adult.

My experience has been that most that come in later in life have a lot of baggage. Many emotional problems or personal problems that WT somehow seems to help with. They see a paradise, with a presumed wonderful future compared with their bleak life. They get they think instant friends. As a past elder for many years I have seen most of the ones coming in like this. And I have seen most of them leave eventually once they get a feel for how it really is. Just my observation.

I have left mentally and emotionally. Does that count? I was thinking about this the other day the org seems to have grown but when you go around there are always a lot of new people and many old ones no where to be found. I have known so many thru the years that are not in anymore and I say good for them!!!!!!
