When I was a teen my friends and I used to race on a windy mountain road (89A just south of Prescott) in AZ. I built my car for handling so I'd always win even though it wasn't a fast car. But once I almost slid off the side of the mountain and it scared the sh** out of me.
I don't do that kind of stuff anymore.

Is the UN still an issue with the JWs?

i've mentioned the duplicity to several active jw's (i.e., their becoming "associates" and "partners" as an "ngo") and they're very defensive, regardless of the evidence.
has anyone made any inroads in removing the thick "scales" of unquestioning devotion to the "organization" due to the un issue?

I've brought it up and provided documentation to only two people:
My business partner, who is an active JW. He read at least some of the information and now avoids any discussion about it at all.
My exwife, who is df'd but still believes it's "the truth". She was very surprised when I mentioned it and then asked me "Do you have any proof of it?" So a week or so later I provided her a stack of paper of scans and such, organized to make sense and off she went with it. I haven't had a chance to talk to her since then so I don't know what she thinks.
She's really the one I feel sorry for as she's df'd and still believes. That has to be a miserable condition to be in so I hope that if she can see that it's not "the truth" she might feel a bit better about herself.
I'd like to bring it up with my father, but Mr. Knowitall doesn't let me finish sentences when we're discussing anything. I can't imagine actually being able to make my point.
Oh, one other person, a young jw (19) who works for me. He was shocked to hear it, but after a few minutes I could see the blinders going up and we didn't discuss it much further. -

Not much more than I've already described. But to all three of us the house is appealing (like we'd like to live in it the part nobody knows about). Maybe we dream about it because we like it, but doesn't really explain why we all dream of the same house, or at least it seems like it's the same house.
My only experience with dreams or premonitions is that feeling you get (well, I get and I assume others do to) sometimes when you get in the car and just "feel" like you're going to get a ticket or an accident, and then do. Or how I often (very often) pick up the phone to call my girlfriend and it rings in my hand and it's her. That happens quite alot to us as she tells me the same thing happens on her end.
These kinds of things have led me to believe that maybe, just maybe there is some form of communication going on between people, even people far away from eachother that we really don't understand. I don't know that or even necessarily am I convinced of it, but I do believe it's possible.
I only knew my neice when she was very young, and then they moved to Alaska, so I didn't see her for over 10 years. But my SIL tells me now that she (my neice) always thought alot of me. Maybe there's some kind of connection? I really don't know. -

I agree with you that communication about the dream can sway eachother's views on it. I really don't necessarily believe that there's anything more to it than coincidence, but of course I'm not certain about that.
His step daughter is 20 years old, she says she's had this dream for years and so have he and I. My brother and I only talked about it once, and he and his step daughter discussed it only after she was married and had moved out of his house, she and he never discussed it or were aware the other had the dream while she lived in his house.
Again, I just find it interesting. I used to just brush all this kind of stuff off in the past, but maybe since I'm no longer a JW, and no longer just think this kind of stuff should be ignored for fear of demonic influence, I'm more interested in seeing if there is anything more to this kind of thing than just coincidence. -

3 hour tour - my sd interrogation.

they have given her a week to decide before they df her.
she is only 18. gads.

I'm guessing that they HAVE decided to DF her and she has one week to appeal. Not sure if that's what's going on, but I think that's how it works.
Anyway, that might be where the one week comes from. That's how it worked for my exwife. But believe it or not, I could be wrong! -

I was quite liberal. I never had the feeling that I was displeasing God when I did things that JW's look down on, just displeasing brothers, so I didn't care too much about it as I didn't really feel they had any business intruding into my personal life (which they loved to do).

heres mine ,and you can never tell ,shhhhh.
i will go ouside and cut a plant ,maybe trim it ,at first i really did forget to clean up my plant mess but oh oh , i got a reaction so now i leave them for him to see and watch him blow,,,,,,,,,,lol .

I send my business partner emails about how some critical order got messed up and we're in deep sh** now. Or ask him about a fax from a customer stating that what we shipped them they're VERY unhappy with (although no such fax came).
He gets stressed out very easily and can't really handle it very well. I probably shouldn't do stuff like that to him but maybe it's my way for getting him back for how his short fuse, negative outlook and high stress level irritates me. -

Hi Jeeprube, and welcome!
As others here have already said, many or most of us have gone through what you are right now. I've also been fading for the past 9 months or so after 39 years as a jw, and when I'm asked about it by friends and family, I clearly tell them that I don't believe it and don't want any part of it. If they ask me more, I tell them.
I'm sorry to hear that your wife is still in, that has to be difficult. My wife left me (and was df'd) before I left, so I think that makes it easier for me.
I'm waiting for the time now if and when I'm contacted and end up df'd or whatever might happen. I don't plan to play by their rules. But I'm also no longer afraid of that time. Whatever happens, happens, and life goes on. To me, if my family shuns me, it's their decision and it is NOT my fault! Even though they say things like my father told me "Please don't get df'd, I'd hate to lost my relationship with you", I explained to him that it will be his decision to break our relationship and there is no cause to blame me.
I'd better stop now before I end up cancelling this post because I feel like I'm rambling. -

So the woman that called the show had the dream before they found the kids, Leoleia? Kinda interesting.
The interesting thing about the house that we dream about is that it appears to be the same house. Split level, large wide stairs in the entry, and most intesting is that all three of us are drawn to the fact that we've "found" a part of the house that appears to be through a door in the same location in all our dreams. It leads to what is almost another house. Two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen and decorated in art deco. Even the layout of the furniture is the same for all three of us. In each of our dreams, we're the only ones that know about that part of the house. -
