my wife was telling my jw friend who is visiting that for the past few meetings the brothers have been telling the cong that no one is donating and that they need money.

i told her it sounded like the end was coming.

well the ot speaks of how the jews on several occassions not only saw gods ass (backside) but also heard him speak.

Has anyone stopped to think what Jesus was REALLY saying to the jews? Jesus also says that you have neither seen nor heard him. So what you say? Well the OT speaks of how the Jews on several occassions not only saw gods ass (backside) but also heard him speak. This would indicate to me that jesus knew that the god of the jews or OT was not his father but someone alot more sinistar. Comments?

when i was a kid we had a small dog that loved spaghetti with tomato sauce.

he was our witness dog that would sit near the table and wait until after the prayer to start begging for food.. the two cats i had for 12 years loved some really odd things.

i was peeling corn on the cob tonight and missed having them pester me for raw corn niblets.

My wife and I ate corn on the cob the other night and accidentally left the bucket of butter open and on the table. Normally our flat faced persian plays all the time, but this night we found the house to be quiet while watching tv. We go into the kitchen and find his entire head buried in the bucket. When I yelled at him he popped his head out and huge eyes and a ring of butter all around his head. Face, was coated with butter also. We cleaned him up but he sat there for a few hours in heaven just cleaning himself over and over, loving it.

where to begin ?

i am not a jw or of any other faith but i have recently been involved with a jw.

Has anyone thought that perhaps the husband is using this situation to his own benefit? Just sucking it up and letting it ride so that he can latter initiate divorce proceedings against her, which would be ok in the eyes of the elders? Anyway, you slice this situation can only lead to disaster.

I hate to say it but you are being played. Its like seeing a lost, big eyed puppy dog on the street. Thats your current relationship. The only thing you can't see is that the puppy dog is actually cujo - about as mentally unstable. Remember salvation comes from within, if she REALLY wants salvation from the "truth" and her husband, she has to make the decision. I only see you as a scape goat when the shit starts to fly. In the end, the way of the JW, you will see that she will stick with her husband, she will stick to the JW religion, and they will all bury there heads in the sand "leaving it in gods hands", and she will leave you.

As others have said, I wouldn't touch this situation until she rolls the dice herself and actually knows what she wants and where she wants to go in life - some stability.

Well, I just finished reading the Secret Book of John last night. Anyone else read it? So was the concept of Jehovah or Yaltobaoth a new idea of christianity (gnosticism) or was it a long known belief that the jews were worshipping the wrong god, and in fact that yaltobaoth/Jehovah was crazy?
