i wanted to consolidate a lot of the information about the attack of anonymous against the watchtower society.

if you disagree with the tactics of anonymous, that's fine.

this information may still be useful as the public is made more aware of the the dangerous policies of the watchtower society.

144001 -- don't you feel we as a group have been negligent in protecting the children via the justice system. Obviously, Silent Lambs is out there endeavoring to protect victims and many others I don't know about. I certainly haven't tried to be involved and that's the only possible thing we can do.

Why is the pedo website up and running if it's that unlawful of a group -- would not the gov't shut it down.

I don't care if the WTBTS goes out of business --- I want them to protect and value the children. There are too many elderly ones in their tender yrs. who need their religion. I saw a couple in the store today who've labored for yrs and I felt so sorry for them -- then I told myself maybe they're better off w/their hope, no matter what a phasod I think it is --- it's a hope.

Jehovah's Witnesses...loyal to God...or to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society ?

this month is a month of testing for jehovah's witnesses.

individually, each must ask himself: to whom are you loyal?

no doubt in ancient isreal many attended the molech and calf worshiping festivals out of loyalty to the nation, the king, and perhaps in a mistaken belief to "jehovah".

From what I've heard they think their leaders are right about education (the world is so evil and mankind needs spiritual education not secular) and blood. As far as the pedophile horror they think it's worse in other religions. Hopefully, they're being enlightened this month w/reality. The brainwashing about blood would take some real undoing.

Odd -- I used to wonder why people hated lawyers so much, seriously. I know lawyers who are so ethical and work so very hard and judges who try to be so fair and take their roles so seriously but now I understand what people mean reading how this religion's legal have protected them. I do not know how their lawyers and legal aids live with themselves. It's hard to believe.

144401 -- YOU ARE RIGHT! I agree with you completely -- not saying I like the evil the religions get away with because of all their rights/privileges but that's the way it is.

I think we get too excited (I, for one) thinking something can be done to stand up to evil but the legal system is the answer -- our only protection and, technically, it should work. Looks like this country is getting involved w/religious issues and that's good news. Problem is --- that takes so much money and the Watchtower has the power we don't have and they are unethical --- but this is nothing new in life and they are not unique. The only thing that helps me is to think of all the individuals inside who've sacrificed their lives for the religion and how devastated they'd be probably to the point of doing them in and I don't wish that on anyone. It takes a lot of hope in life!

I can't continue reading about the kingdom hall lawsuit (northern Cal.) post because it will be too discouraging as far as our justice system from what I gathered glimpsing at couple of posts but I'm sure there's plenty of judges/juries out there who want to protect children and are sick of this like we are. Just seems hackers can get the info out and the press to pay attention but it's obviously illegal and fact finding has to be done the legal way.

It's difficult to accept nothing is fair in life regardless of what happens to the religion and the pedophiles and I realize that.

Really now -- what can posters do to bring down the Watchtower. We aren't hackers nor involved with any (but I appreciate what you're saying about the criminal acts involved/legal ramifications). Most of us are clueless as to who Anonymous/hackers are and regardless of who/what they are doubt anyone would be able to stand up to master crooks like Watchtower no matter. Did hear positive things about Wikileaks re/Scientology and the military and that's all most of us know.

Too bad the proper authorities aren't protecting the children but Watchtower would pay them off.

What do you suggest be done --- surely groups of ex witnesses might be able to bring forth legal action on behalf of the children.

you're right, Terry and it's pathetic human beings have to resort to hacking. Too bad it's breaking the law to find out the facts and reveal this rich, evil, powerful, company W/Tower is. It's not fair but nothing is fair in life. W/Tower seems to be able to break the law and get away w/it --- legally there's nothing upright ones can do.

I don't break laws but cannot understand how the abuse of children goes on and on when there's childrens' protection agencies but they'd be clueless/powerless to stand up to evil religions. I'm hearing lately how parent's just drain their children's bank accts., (funds awarded thru lawsuits or inheritances) and it's too bad. No one polices this stuff --- once funds are depleted what can a judge do. It's a joke! I'm sure if children have a substantial amt. the justice system is involved since yrly. accting/fees are charged -- easy money.

Religions seem to have all the privileges/protection and that needs to be changed to protect the innocent. In the meantime children are raped, families are ravaged --- some society!

One can only imagine the high security this cult has on their criminal activity and, hopefully, they won't get away with it forever.

There's always someone around (Anonymous) who is smarter.

they've cut back their number of branch locations from 217 to 198 in the past year.

they've installed credit card machines at assemblies and conventions.

they've cut back on the number of pages in the watchtower and awake magazines (from 32 to 16).

You're right, Fink -- they're not righteous or anointed in my book but know what ya mean.

So the fire sale is a desperate move because of financial concerns --- I hope so! Their legal teams (outside firms) probably need bigger retainers these days.

It's so sad the way their members are robbed all because of "freedom of religion".

There needs to be a publishing business printing info to protect the public against these cults and monies collected paying for billboards --- ahhh, but that would hurt the protected religions. I'm not saying they're all bad.
