  i think the wtb&ts publication titled "the kingdom interlinear of the christian greek scriptures" speaks for itself.. the word for word translation of the greek into english.. that publication does not even contain the name or word jehovah either in hebrew letters or greek letters anywhere in the word for word texts.. their is not one scripture in the n.t.

  where christians ,followers of jesus christ are instructed to be witnesses of jehovah ,however there are something like twenty scriptures that explicitly state followers of jesus christ are to be witnesses of, for, and about jesus...

  Wonderment - Byington's Forward and your thoughts make sense to me for those endeavoring to be a Xtian. I don't think pronunciation matters to the masses -- too many other issues.

  This is interesting and I appreciate the link re/LXX but not read other than viewing tetragrammaton - trying to view. Why is it a big deal the name be spelled out 'Jehovah' (or other vowels added which Jewish translators rejected) in new testament per WT and the other Bible scholars indicated in posts referenced above vs. LORD -- for direct quotes which is understandable. The jews accepted the name Adonai (I read somewhere) thus approving term LORD and concerned re/pronunciation w/added vowels/whatever of God's name in the translation process from Hebrew to Greek. Regardless, WT ran out of bounds interpreting their own NWT other than extant verses from OT? I'm new to getting the 'Greek' of all this so patience, please.

  The new edition will be printed in the language that springs for the product -- duh, US! Economy soaring so they're jumping into the ring to make moolah. Should be a non brainer for a publishing empire. Older people with chunk change probably prefer holding/grasping their reading material (warm, fuzzy, feelings/arousal of appreciation of cult to dig out more $) vs. digtiically. I can only imagine the magic, thankful, prayers, ongoing. Time to click on ebay to add to my cult collection. Can't believe I threw out all the WT trash I worked so hard collecting in short time.

  Bad news sells -- this article needs to be published in every news feed throughout planet earth or a determination of the most up to date article and pitched to all our local newspapers. Obviously the majority are behind in the times but, amazingly, don't miss the WT's publicity/promotional articles for cult conventions.

  Thankfully, the majority of the populace runs from anything WT!

  yup that's right the jws religion is a pretentious fraud orchestrated by men running their own religious publishing house.. these men cultivated a semblance of power around themselves through their own propagation of being chosen by god or being more righteous than other christian leaders by their self supporting acclaim that they have truer and more accurate bible interpretations.

  another known fact is these top leading men were not academically trained bible scholars.

  the first leading executive writer of the wts was a professional clothing salesman/ businessman.

  Hi Anna-M - Good info, thanks. NCR was a huge corp in its heyday (they had more bus machines than cash registers) and ole charlatan Rutherfraud had one mammoth client there. He couldn't handle that! I think some doctors, (or snake oil characters), architects, etc., were grandfathered in or trained like manner decades ago or at least I've heard/known families chatting about their lineage of doctors traveling around in wagons in Oklahoma/TX, etc., but far from being professional doctors. He was a natural for charlatan/dictator role, obviously. He was no more a judge than Tony the GB boozer.

  I read somewhere how he was a fill in for judge and stooges nicknamed him after that -- it's been many decades since I read about the loser -- what little I could stomach. Alan F or A. F., Jan, Farkel (H20 members/days) had lots of info/history. Barbara Anderson probably has a wealth of knowledge about him.

  I don't think Booze Rutherford was a professional, educated, lawyer, if that's who Fink is referring to above. I read somewhere a long time ago (maybe H20) he worked for the court, (clerk's office) was able to obtain the state bar assoc. test and the rest is history. I don't have proof but it should be out there somewhere.
