Current JW growth in the United States in historical perspective and in comparison with other groups
by slimboyfat incurrent jw growth is slower than during most of their history.
the only probable exceptions are following 1975 when there was a brief worldwide decrease, the late 1920s when around half of the members left the movement, perhaps around the 1917 schism, and various schisms during russell’s time.
there were also periods of sluggish growth during the 1950/60s and around 2000. .

The sky is falling- maybe
by joey jojo ini am actually not a 'sky is falling' guy, but i wanted to comment on the australian bushfires.. you may or may not believe the science behind global warming, however i personally put more faith in verified, scientific data than the words of fat cat, self-serving politicians.
climate science has predicted, based on data, that we will see more prolonged, extreme weather events, higher average temperatures, rising sea levels due to ocean expansion and glacial melting.
and this is exactly whats happening.

Good topic - from my observation baby boomers' lineage seem to be hangin' in there or at least some probably because of the WT's hateful shunning rule. Conventions were way down at least 10 yrs ago so I'm not so sure I'd trust their stats -- or anything else as doomsday hype, etc., swelled their base more than once. Mormans don't seem to be such an overwhelming group like they were but still pretty big stuff here. Think they cornered the dental/law market -- medical, too. They learned from the Jewish religion re/education and built their own base -- prolifically.

Pres Trump considering options in response to Iranian missile attacks - 15 total/4 failures on US troops in Iraq. No US casualties yet. They've taken oil tankers, killed Americans, attacked the American Embassy, targeting Americans just to name a couple of negatives. They are clearly a nuclear threat. They're the #1 state sponsored terror organization in the world and someone has to stand up to them - finally.
Obama's policy was appeasement -- the billions he flooded to Iran are the missiles being displayed today.

LIKE I SAID - I think on the 'Left' an awful lot. I'm just not thrilled with their candidates - not that I'm enthralled with the politicians on the right, either. I don't appreciate the Establishment, Deep State, corruption or much of what goes on.
You're right -- a closed mind -- and a judgmental one is certainly not good especially when clueless of others. So easy to be a hater - not good just because someone has different political viewpoints.

I know of no one who complains about feeding, clothing, sheltering, providing medical assistance or assisting in any way the underprivileged here, there, or anywhere, on planet earth, fortunately. The discussion should be the fact those who need the aid and help many times never receive it when ruled by despots/dictators.
Military weaponry is very expensive but so is the cost of terrorists ruling/murdering others. Obviously, a country has to have a strong defense system since the world isn't exactly la la land.

'No Jacket Required' sounds like his stage performance at his Swan Song. He probably caught the clergy class off guard and maybe they were enjoying the reality show (can you imagine the PIMOs!) or most likely they didn't even hear what he was saying since it's the same propaganda every single time. Then again, the cult might have the big brother system tracking/recording every word in these critical times.

DUH -- yes President Trump is President but, unfortunately, Obama's massive failures dealing with the middle East -- particularly IRAN - is now a mammoth problem.
Thank you for your left thinking. I could care less about Obama but this is the result of ineptness -- he was clueless how to run the US let alone deal with foreign issues regardless of his orator skills w/the teleprompter.
