by HiddenPimo inwithin the very documentary is a reason i think that jw's for the most part will not wake up even if they watch this program.
the one lady actually saw as her family sat behind the abuser in court supporting him despite the established fact that he had abused their very own child.. this shows how deep the indoctrination is.
i am not saying that some won't wake up, but the majority will carry on, not even because they think these things are lies but because they will look past that at all costs to side with jehovah.

punky - wasn't there info (don't know if it's fact) how the Gov Goons' wives are out on the streets once their husband's pass away? I assume we'd hear more about if true. I'm sure today they've a 5 star assisted living facility for all of them to reside with full time medical staff - poor JWs w/out decent jobs paying for it all.
JWs care nothing about their children kicking them out of the house because they reject the lying WT. They should be held accountable for abuse/neglect. The cult should be held accountable for being all of the above but religious freedom trumps all. Makes me sick.

LHG - Very sad. Amazing to what extent the Sheeple JWs go to for the religion. They want their god's blessing and everlasting life to the point they nix their own lives.
Yrs. ago I read that a team of psychologists determined the JW religion was one of the most successful, highly, effective, mind-control, organizations, around. The magazines brainwash and the rest is all the meetings, etc. I get why the freedom of religion is important in this country but people need to be protected and know the facts before they sign their life, family, monies, away. I watch the Oxygen programs and can't believe my ears - it's worse than I ever thought.

road to nowhere -- oh wow re/"end of life directive" -- it's been obvious for decades what this is about. Believe me, they'll have to deal with about 8 trustees (re any JW heirs of mine) and probate hitters - they're getting nothing of mine. Anything left after heirs (dolled out via trustees) will go to the dog shelters. I've heard from professional bethelites how they run their legal in - (they're nothing but hawks) to grab the estates when people die.

No time spent outside of making money for the cult - no humaneness, kindness, compassion - just recruiting and donating money to WT - just run along the family member is going to die anyway and let the worms take care of it. They love it when the elderly have no JW witness heirs or the cult has nixed any lineage out of the equation -- the Gov Goons inherit more money - more whiskey, designer suits for old goats, silk ties, vacays, design services for their hotel-room penthouse. Has to be quite an expense for maintenance money for the wives' images alone. I highly doubt they still shop at flee markets (unless the witness shuffle from their Saturday service is still in 'em) and the majority are probably aging so not cheap. Takes serious money - pricey. How many bars/clubs do they have in the compound (mini country club) or do they imbibe alone in their high-rise cell. No Christmases, Valentines, Birthdays, etc., etc., when that money can be dumped into the cult's beg boxes. Holidays aren't more fake than their supernatural crazy and delusional death promises but the minions hang on to the fantasies - on and on. Plus the peer pressure fear of losing their friends/status.
Society has certainly failed humans - so weak.

Good info to the poor cancer victim. No one outside cult does understand (it's that crazy cultish) but you can't believe the questions asked by non JWs when they hear of the horror the religion does - shunning and a son not being able to care for their mother! Just horrific.

I heard yesterday that the expose was being advertised on several stations to those in US that have DISH satellite services. DISH is one of the 2 major satellite cos. available here besides COX. These people all didn't view the Oxygen/JW program (one did for a while) but were commenting and at least it's in the general public's eye. I don't know how popular DISH satellite is - most people I know are linked up with Direct TV or Cox which is under Direct.

How sad. It's one, powerful, very, wealthy, cult - clearly not hurting for money. Have so much they can continue choking people. They care less to comfort the sick and suffering. Even circulating to local news would probably just hurt the son/Mom but I'd sure scream it out if the cult returns with their rules. In fact I'd be making preparations/contacts immediately - not that anyone can stand up to them. Just sick.
