Walgreens here are inadequately stocked - ads in paper show they've stock of all the leading lines of paper products, Clorox wipes, etc., etc. It's all false - none of these items available in their stores or online. Maybe they're expecting their ship to come in.
A guy at Walmart (shopper) told me they're having issues - something about supply (obviously) and shipments. Walmart made statement re/new hours and no longer remaining open 24 hrs/day so employees can stock the shelves - there's a concept. Crazy but pharmacist at Smiths Food told me Sams Club is experiencing problems. Who knows - yeah, demand exceeds supply.

Trudeau is allowing Chinese to enter which means they can come here -- are the Chinese checked at border into US? Surely they are being stopped from entering US if, in fact, Canada is still open. Unreal.

I hope the medical is better in the other Euro countries than Italy - read somewhere recently Italy has the worse medical in the world. I know my adult child attended school there for a yr - became ill with flu and scared to death to go to hospital. Options were to fly home to US or get into the UK -- couldn't take any chances.
Why isn't the United States' CDC sending people to Italy to help - they offered help in China?

I was shocked but 'devout' JWs had all kinds of plastic surgery here. One elder's wife felt she had bags or something under her eyes and said it was a minor surgery - I don't think so - she looked like someone had blacked her eyes and unreal swelling. Scary! Couple other women same hall had face lifts - full face lifts and eye lifts - another one had her eyes done - eye lift or the extra skin removed. So many implants (silicon valley) - young gals - age 18 to 40, I'd say. Unreal - they are so brave. Many travel to Utah for cosmetic related surgeries - drastic price drop and a group went there for surgeries.
One other gal traveled to Guatemala for implants - she felt perfectly safe going. Some brave JWs! Another 2 had cosmetic surgery on their noses - one had lots of issues afterward but she'd had hers done 3 xs. I knew of lots of cosmetic surgeries here. I couldn't believe since I assumed they'd all be perfect in the new system they blathered about all the time. I don't think the elders would have objected but then again - I don't know and I don't think they cared one way or the other.
I heard a shrink one day comment 'if you're not happy with it change it or get it fixed' after saying previously - year earlier - that implants are a sign of insecurity. I couldn't believe and wondered what she was having done herself - sure enough - not implants but 'mini lift' - swear it was so mini I didn't notice. If anyone is brave enough so be it. My gay friends tell me implants are still very dangerous and nothing but problems/lolol. I've heard nose jobs generally have to be redone because the bone grows back - something like that. One JW told me if she could go back in time she would never have done it. Oh, she, too, had face lift and implants. One even had her arms done - the flab. WOW - just go lift weights and fo-get about it.

Wish I knew if the regular flu season has lightened up. I'm trying to avoid close contact and have decided to wear a mask - to protect myself and neighbor when dropping off items. I can't remember what the 'experts' even said other than negatives but helps me mentally. Off to Walmart early and couple of us have goods to make hand sanitizer (ez enough) since I can't find any and Walmart is a dismal failure - other than regular soap they've been 'Out of Stock' online for days. Amazon does have hand sanitizers - brands I never heard of - I ordered a few days ago if anyone needs to order. So many aged people that need shopping done - not much online for them to order.
I'll get a system here - I hope. Two elderly have their adult children arriving next week - thankfully.

I don't like this worrying about stockpiling extras -- have couple of elderly friends in my community who can't find paper products/hand sanitizers so at least I can share but I do need to replace. I don't keep as many backups as I use to - farmers always stock up but I broke that habit, unfortunately.
The grocery store this AM was short on many items - including some veggies to make my soup on my second trip. Packed with stressed shoppers. No hand sanitizer (again) and they told me it would be on shelves by 7:00 AM. The show rooms on strip are dark - nightclubs closed down - lots of people infected at MGM since they have more hotels/casinos on strip. Fearful of so cal's medieval diseases on streets with homeless population (and covid 19) and how many infected tourists have roamed around here.

Good luck catching any objective news out there -- anywhere!! Hope this ends soon - crazy!
Hoarders - no tissue, no hand sanitizer left on shelves. Do these morons realize others without these products are going to spread bacteria like never before! I keep extras but it will be another Russia diet for me (I lost about 15 lbs. and was few lbs underweight at time) food so bad but I'm not eating lentils, legumes, out of a can. Guess I'll be soaking/cleaning/cooking stored lentils 'round the clock.
Somewhere on twitter there's a MIT genius who is stating different opinion - I'll try to google his name - I was rushing out of a business and didn't jot his name. He's about 4 degrees and is not following the herd mentality.

NO -- the tests will show who has it - many have no symptoms and it will never tell us just how many have had it and SURVIVED this cold virus.
Check the history/facts - when the SWINE (most have selective memory or never heard in the first place) PIG FLU broke out CNN never reported it as a main topic (2009). MEDIA didn't even make it front page - NY Times - joke! They were all protecting Obama! AFTER WARNINGS from the World Health Organization. ONE THOUSAND PEOPLE DIED in the US before the administration (Obama) paid any attention. 300,000 were hospitalized; 60 MILLION infected. 18 THOUSAND died in the United States under Obama (PIG FLU/SWINE FLU).
40 People have died to date -- none under 50 yrs. old - that's still too many but why would we believe the fear or anything fake news says NOW!! The level of panic is unreal - wrecking the economy. I don't - I take all flus/yearly outbreaks seriously -- their tract record is mob driven.
Amazing how many people die of yearly influenza (and there are thousands here in the US like auto accidents) and no big deal because it's 'all factored in'.
Worldwide there's approximately 137,000 cases of the COVID 19; 81,000 are in China; 15,000 Italy; 11,000 Iran; 8,000 S. Korea per John Hopkins. US: 1,268 - 40 Deaths. 2010 there were 18,000 deaths in United States with Swine flu.
I'm not saying throw out your hand soap, stored beans (I'd rather starve) or chocolate, etc., etc. and NOT be cautious -- but really! This is authoritarian management for power/control and nothing new

I'm not finger pointing, however, at many nursing home/assisted facilities, etc., there are many medical/private physical therapy cos/staff (PTs, DOs, NPs, MDs, etc.) who are Asians coming/going. Many Chinese travel back and forth. They all weren't wearing masks prior to this outbreak. Our famous mall has customers traveling regularly to and fro China. A couple retailers have been quite nervous for many weeks and personnel spend most of their time sanitizing counters, registers - everything in site. It's unimaginable the bacteria on sample products sitting out on counters for customers - no guarantee every single item is cleaned/bacteria removed.
Many Chinese wear masks (even walking/strolling) and I'm sure take every precaution necessary but not all before this outbreak. From what I hear most shopping is electronically/phone these days - stores have been empty for mos but different dynamics for those in the medical field who have to show up after return visits.
I heard Viet Nam has/had no travel restrictions.
