What the hell do they care what they call it - this is nerve wracking for the average lay person and unimaginable what those in the front lines -- hospitals, health-care professionals/employees are experiencing. It's going to be a rough ride the next 2 to 3 weeks for this country (world in general) as we live through the steep upward trajectory of COVID 19 and it's 200,000 projected deaths here - a living horror. Even when we reach the apex it's a slo-mo downward curve.

UK Government web site - Covid 19 is no longer an H.C.I.D.
by The Fall Guy in"as of 19 march 2020, covid-19 is no longer considered to be a high consequence infectious diseases (hcid) in the uk.. now that more is known about covid-19, the public health bodies in the uk have reviewed the most up to date information about covid-19 against the uk hcid criteria.
the advisory committee on dangerous pathogens (acdp) is also of the opinion that covid-19 should no longer be classified as an hcid.

If You're Just Here to spread Your TDS, It's Time to Say Goodbye

it.
frankly, i can't be bothered with the bullshit anymore.. honestly, your politics and the whole virtue signalling woke brigade has actually started causing real deaths and was ruining life for many before that.. if you can't control your disease, then i'll do it for you.. it's not open for debate..

No wonder we don't have enough masks, ventilators, gloves, gowns -- good to know our political leaders (can't wait to find out which liberals and conservatives in power) have been selling the Americans out for long time padding their pockets and now siding with the CHICONS.

Coronavirus Positive
by snare&racket inhey all,.
i'm day six of isolation, confirmed to have coronavirus.
i have been seeing very sick cv positive patients over the last month in my a&e role (emergency physician) it was inevitable i would contract it.. just wanted to give some symptom and treatment advice, it's anecdotal but may help.. started as sore throat and headache, then croaky voice, then dry cough, then episodic transient fevers, all this over the first few days.

Snare - here's to a quick recovery. Get rest as you'll probably be back out there in the front lines soon.

Everything is Obozo's fault - fact - going back to ole Carter and his mortgage delusions, triple digit inflation - crazy.
Did he do anything constructive or build up anything for the tax payers? Broken health care system, military, financial system - third world country here. Thank goodness we have strong leadership - business, political, medical, acumen, at the helm. Unimaginable what the American population would be dealing with if another liberal groomed/corrupt politician was in charge. Open borders, no private sector at the forefront - oh my.

Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Status Update Thread
by Simon inthis topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.
latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.
the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

Thx, Simon - I'll take anything positive - just heard we're possibly weeks away from a peak -- are you kidding me.

Politics/government very important to many humans (and should be) but info/facts should be presented and debated for each of us to learn, grow in knowledge, to be responsible citizens re/voting.
I think Simon should do whatever he has to do - he and moderators read it all and know the negatives. People are passionate about politics and religion and by nature have our hand-me-down prejudices, delusions. Unfortunately, it takes so much research and time to present the facts and life is so busy for many. We've learned much about religious corruption, the gods and science on this board - amazing! Political science, current events, politicians in general should be no different but bitterness seems to rule. I get it, however, if the subject is nixed.

I certainly don't recall the same lack of diplomacy and the derogatory, insidious, noxious, posts, from conservatives during the 8 yrs. of roughshod horror of the Obama/Clinton administration. I know I finally posted re/not voting for the Clinton corruption horror. Posts may have been a regular occurrence from conservatives - I don't have confirmation nor did I consider myself one. Some of us tried desperately to look for the positives, including liberal friends - Dems for their entire lives who cancelled attending the Clinton rally before the event was cancelled due to lack of interest in a liberal state.
Facts/track record of politicians/leaders is critical - a beautiful thing contrary to the deception/fabrication of the controlled state/fake news. What an expense the power/swamp mongers have been to the American taxpayer. It doesn't matter to them - they walk away multimillionaires. Monies could have fed/housed the entire planet or used for science enhancing lives. Such greed.
Not to forget the bullying from at least one person onboard here - I don't recall verbatim but 'they aren't putting up with this/that' or 'no one talks to them that way'! What the hell are you going to do about it and we WONDER HOW ANTIFA came about from such deleterious, volatile, bullies. It all makes sense -- amazing the lack of dealing with situations in a legal, humane, manner. Where was this behavior learned - yep it all makes sense.

I've 'heard' (not confirmed) that Chinese have been buying up lots of businesses in northern Italy so there's a big population already there plus coming/going to the New Year's celebration.
When Trump closed the China border to US many Chinese rerouted to Spain, France, Italy, Germany. He took a lot of heat from the Dems about it but did the right thing.

Yet the state of NY has been short of medical supplies long before the COVID 19 hit. Nurses/medical personnel have been pleading for past yrs. but no one listened. It's a nanny state that is dependent on the federal government - all other states in the union pay tremendously for NY. Wonder where all those state funds have ended up - residents can't flee the place fast enough even previously to this horror. Wonder why that is!! Corrupt leadership at its best.
Political leaders in NY were telling them to carry on with their lives - go out enjoy your restaurants, clubs, socialization - parents screaming for Cuomo to close the schools - ahh, now that's leadership at it's best.
Yeah - have fun blaming President Trump and good thing you're clueless re/facts - we understand. Maybe learn to be objective - it's helpful. Your liberal presidential candidate couldn't even handle one military situation and her boss slept through the phone calls - facts reveal he slept through/ignored weeks of pleas. Run the country - your political leaders can't run a state or a critical phone call!

Covid 19 - expert says it's hype!
by The Fall Guy inlol!
having commented earlier on experts' differing views, here's a prominent german physician/politician - wolfgang wodarg - who made controvorsial statements that the coronavirus "pandemic" is not out of the ordinary and that italy's mortality rate (8,215 deaths from coronavirus so far) is no greater than it would normally be from the 'flu virus.
in 2017/18 approx 18,000 italians died due to the flu.. the wikipedia section - controversial theses in the 2020 covid 19 crisis - is worth examining.

Seasonal flu usually doesn't KILL that many doctors - 40 as of today in Italy. This new stat in Italy gets the attention of statisticians who are hopeful it will be same as a bad flu epidemic, but I hope Wolfgang Woldarg is right.
He's not the only one saying it might be lower - or around 1/10 of a percent up to 1% after everyone is tested. The original stats off of models they were following out of London were over estimated but they're changing daily.
