  A world without God? What would it be like...

  another thread got me to thinking..something i do once in a while .

  what if no one believed in a god .

  what do you think the world would be like?.

  i heard a radio program re a study was done of a group of ex-prisoners for about 6 - 9 yrs. (maybe longer) that had become xtians while incarcerated and a very small percentage gave up their faith and returned to their old ways returning back to prison. I couldn't believe!

  It is presently a Godless world (action wise) and world of intolerance. Individuals do not just fit into groups of different socio-economics, education, lifestyle status out there --- you leave your neighborhood and you get beat up (mentally).

  talesin --- For real --- no money and they're turned away??? that is so upsetting to me. If this is true I'm thru devoting my volunteering time/donations toward their benefit in any organization I belong to. This is not good! Went back and read your other post and I don't trust them now. How can they turn desperate people away.

  someone on this board asked me 'how do you know' a while ago and i really struggled with it.

  in fact, it was a turning point for me.

  sweetbabycheezits --- you're right but what positive change in their lives because of their faith plus the majority of Muslims are not allowed any other belief options. They're on the wrong God as I'm enjoying d's post above.

  mP did Sophia or the teacher of righteousness heal the sick, cure the lepers, walk on water and do all the other miracles like Jesus -- with real, live, eyewitnesses that were willing to die because of him.

  Also what about the humans that follow Christ since then 'til now and their many changes. What else has brought so much change and hope to mankind.

  I'm not denying what you say --- all the info on this topic is so interesting and we learn more.

  Americans! What is up with your Iced Tea?

  this is the second time i've ordered an iced tea and gotten cold......well, tea.. am i supposed to add my own sugar?.

  Palmtree --- have you tried ordering ice tea at Starbucks/Las Vegas? Seems it comes all sugared up (or did) because I always order mine unsugared and if I'm not specific it comes otherwise. It comes w/out a lemon wedge also --- i hate lemon in my tea but many prefer it that way. They have great black, ice tea, btw -- best out there.

  Shriners are unbelievable! They really are organized and know how to raise the funds. They have the best of attorneys, doctors, etc., volunteering. Their childrens' hospitals and medical treatment programs throughout the country are incredible.

  Thanks, Lady Lee, for info. SA has been my favorite charity since reading online stats. I tell everyone to contribute to their volunteers ringing the bells at xmas time and one of my volunteer groups donates regularly to them. I trust the organizations ran by the Catholic Church, also, and another volunteer group seems to prefer donating to them.

  All this information available to the public is so good and encourages people to dig into their pockets when they know lives are really being helped.
