by watersprout injust received an email off shelby to say that li-li arrived home a few hours ago.
she's in a bad way, rushed to the vet's as she pee'd blood all over the floor.
she has three small punctures, badly bruised and is doped up with pain killers and antibiotics.. the vet think's that due to her injuries she was kicked as well as being involved in a dog fight.. shelby is on full alert for any signs of internal damage loss of thirst/appetite, listlessness, more blood in urine etc.

blondie - Cacky --- I remember those lines but not a 'green' NWT. I have got to print off info for my ex-witness friend that points out all the mistranslations in NWT because I worry she'll run back in because of a couple of so called friends. She believes the NWT is exactly the same as the King James which she used to study w/witnesses comparing texts. I think she'll read what I copy off once I take the time to locate.
The line that always rattled me was the one not to rely on your own understanding --- OMG! Then why do we have a brain/Duh. I could never buy the one about only religion having the truth --- well, I certainly had not compared or knew and how could anyone else if they'd never researched other faiths themselves. That was the biggest red flag.
It's such a scary cult.

by life is to short inon page 171 of the "learn from the great teacher" book published in 2003 it shows a picture of a very cute little girl holding a ragged ann doll.
she is sitting on a chair in her bedroom with her hand out toward a man that is coming toward her.. the paragraphs say "so just as jesus needed protection, you also need to be protected from grown-ups-and even from other children-who may try to have sex with you.
usually, these people will pretend to be your friends.

Bloggers where are you --- I hope they pick up on this or someone forwards to them. The title itself is enough to digest for a week of reading and I hope someone copies (w/approval?) and forwards to the child protection agencies in the world or Dr. Laura -- someone who protects children --- I don't care what else she believes but she's adamant about protecting children.

DaCheech --- you are so right about "people are more worried about outward appearance and rank than they are about truth!" It's about fitting in and being ACCEPTED -- - mankind's greatest need, they think. Being rejected kills or feels like it. What a pathetic cult. I hope they're losing so much money but it's the poor they prey on that give and it all adds up --- even a dollar a day is 7 million a day worldwide as they used to spout off. I think we should start publishing educational literature to hand out in poor neighborhoods against these gawd awful cults. Illiterate, underprivileged, poor-class do not have access to protection against these religious cults.

Welcome and some great advice from diamondiz and others. I've thought about the same thing for different reasons (to protect my family, a mother instinct) but I was so sick miserable before and told my husband to put me into psychiatric care if I ever returned --- not that he would/hopefully! I've a dear friend (ex-witness, also) who visits many churches and drops by a public talk at the hall once in awhile and insists they taught her the Bible (she works all the time and I need to meet up w/her for more lunch breaks --- I can't convince her to come on this site). She's already decided not to return from the way they treat her dressed in her pantsuits on her way to work after meetings. The elders corner her to hound her about her intentions and she is very evasive and says I'm just catching a public talk now and then. She and her husband (an elder at the time) left over a pedophile case in this same congregation --- an elder pedophile).
I think this board will keep you inspired for awhile. I have to say I think it's intriguing/exciting the members inside (can't think of the word --- ask Ynot need coffee) working underground against the cult.
