Funny story - one time we had an ex-bethelite couple staying in our home and it was night time -- my husband (never a JW!) went downstairs to check on something in the house and one of the TV sets was on in area other than area they were in w/TV. He returned upstairs and was laughing (I can't stop lolol now!) and said, 'I don't want to say anything, but I think I just caught the brethren watching porn'! I didn't even know we had a channel for that but found out it's part of the whole cable package. I couldn't and DIDN'T believe him -- really!! I was laughing and I asked my husband 'how can you say something like that'? I thought my husband was kidding around but I could tell he wasn't and I asked him if he said anything to him -- he said nope - he just ignored. I couldn't imagine at the time - (naive) nor believe I'd ordered a cable package that had porn.

by days of future passed ini was out thrift shopping where my sister lives.
before i went in to the store, i went to donut shop a few doors down.
as i walked up, there by the window was a family and others eating donuts.

Good points re/materialism - the scripture about a showy display of one's wealth comes to mind but they boast about all the cult's properties -- even how many cranes the cult owns and word it like 'we own ? cranes in this country alone' -- I couldn't believe my ears.
It doesn't matter if you drive an old Hugo and wear a wardrobe from Walmart -- the nosey cult members make it their plan to get into your home - your fridge, your vacay home, scrutinize every piece of clothing on your body - go to the stores to check out the price tags (FACT) complain to the elders about your materialistic life -- (I could care less but did try to dress like a vagrant) beg for this/that the other -- everything from furniture to asking to look through your donation piles and trash. I'd even switch cars when necessary driving a big ole 4 door boat - I hated it and dumped it as soon as I could. Ones working at the high end malls (oh gawd) hound you w/selling - calls to come into the store when it's slow for their superior's commissions, try to find out your credit limits - unreal. You might as well drive a Rolls Royce because they are haters (no matter no matter) except when they need money and then the stage syrup gets drippy. I get the class divisions in this country but where's the common decency (forget about love, kindness, thankfulness or the Jesus xtianity story) after the gift/check is signed.

California is the best example of socialism as a type of government - rat hole cities - homeless, hungry-junkies increasing everywhere, (and I LOVE California), education system has been failing for decades (the lottery contributing gazillions hasn't helped one iota), state taxes through the roof and for what? Maybe if they could help the homeless and disadvantaged (other than just the illegals with housing/medical, handouts) and clean the horror up those in the center (and right) of the political spectrum could appreciate the state and their ideology. It's discouraging some from going there unless critical - like for medical.

Teslas are beautiful -- (some models, just my opinion) problem owning in some cities is when they need to be serviced they are hauled out of state (depending on where you reside, of course) and even leaving one in California -- well, always being serviced and you decide anything reliable will be a plus. My husband hates Teslas. They've probably improved last 2 yrs.

Red is a fabulous color and perhaps many of you don't look good in it -- be my guess and not your vitriol/hatred for President Trump because Ole Hil lost even to Democratic states where it's been impossible to lose - like for decades! We've all lived through our women/acquaintances/friends wearing the frumpy/dumpy Hilary tee shirts and not for one term but for at least a decade now or since the first time she was a candidate -- at least a couple of times. Oh my, are they dumpy tee shirts. I was even 'gifted' with a couple - they made great oil painting rags cut up in pieces. Somehow we survived the Obama depression years -- volunteers have never witnessed so many young children in the school district hungry and dependent on charitable handouts to survive. Criminal acts encouraged by the left and the elite-supported Antifa is more evidence of why Trump was elected.

Personal story of bethel, sexual abuse and child baptism

my father died when i was 4 and that left a huge emotional scar on my tender mind.
with my mother, i went to live with family members and was sexually abused between 4 and 10. he was an ms but when elders later found out, all that happened was he got his privileges removed.
