Iriddle80 - thanks and I apologize but I do recall reading some of your posts and one about your prayer experiences re/your son.
Feel free to post your "cow" story or better ones -- I'm curious now.
a long time ago, before television radio and films, before printing, before the invention of writing, people listened only to the spoken word—and the cry of birds, the wind whistling through the trees and the sea crashing on the sea shore.
before written text they knew about the gods because high up there in the night sky was where they lived; gods, goddesses and immortal heroes.
the constellations told of their exploits.

Iriddle80 - have you posted about your experiences and stories previously? I hear this so often -- I use to feel the same way myself but realized it was just coincidental -- in my case.
i like a nice steak but cooking one can be a little intimidating and the results hit and miss especially when it comes to getting the right temperature so getting it wrong can be an expensive mistake.
can anyone do that "finger and thumb together to check the doneness" thing?
i can't .... so i came across this cooking technique called "sous vide" which cooks food (in a sealed vacuum bag) in a warm water bath, even steak.
Thx/sounds intriguing and challenging for us around here -- I'm more on the level of using skillet/oil/butter on gas cooktop to brown the outside but the torch probably cleaner/less stove top mess and more efficient once familiar with process. I think I'll order and have my tech-y adult kid who loves that kind of thing set up.
You are cutting-edge tech! Thanks.
some democrats are zealously pushing the impeachment route to get rid of trump.
even if you don’t like him, do you support impeachment proceedings?.
The president responsible was the great orator, Obama -- our country's most corrupt yet! He and Ole Hil had it all wrapped up with the aid of the Russians.

Dumb dems are dead in the water but they will try every magic act possible (luck out and succeed at some point/evil prevails) -- after all they don't want the public investigating the swamp and the cover blown how political lifers of such incompetence/ineptness equals swampers (both sides) walking away from public office on less than a $200K/yr salary miraculously turned into multi-millionaire status. Obama/senile Biden ring a bell -- the taxpayers have been asleep. Ahh, but the swamp loves you and wants you to have everything for free - they received free and want to give free -- equal distribution - free everything except Obama slipped on that promise and better health care, and oh my a litany of socialist crazy -- priceless.

NO NO & NO -- because it doesn't come under the requirements of high crimes and misdemeanors - BOTTOM LINE regardless what the Dems are trying to do. Plus the Senate is never going to convict him unless there is some really bad act like Clinton/Nixon.
We keep hearing about impeachment but what are the factual grounds?

Sounds great -- I can't stand steak cooked in the oven or broiler and it's way too hot in summertime to live here much less grill. Can't wait to try this out and appreciate the info.

Great topic, Simon - this is so interesting. I'm going to watch the video and order the Anova Nano on Amazon or wherever I can find it. Keeping the veggies immersed sounds a tad challenging. The steaks/asparagus/chicken look delectable.
Thanks for all the info.
i admit i have a soft spot for leonard cohen's music.
i had a customer come in who sings for funerals, he just told me his most requested is cohen's "hallelujah".
a good friend used to sing it at christmas in her church!
I, too, big fan - have a couple of Cohen's CDs. He was quite a talent. KD Lang's Hallelujah is beautiful.

dr judy courtin explains to inq why the destruction of documents could have huge ramifications for victims inside the jehovah’s witnesses.. an order by the jehovah’s witnesses in australia to destroy confidential records could undermine a child abuse compensation claim currently being prepared for the supreme court of victoria.
a lawyer representing the victim says she was shocked to learn that the christian body had ordered confidential documents, including notes taken by elders investigating child sexual abuse, to be destroyed.
That's scary it could be difficult but I believe it -- conversely have they ever told the truth.
