by smiddy3 ini think the wtb&ts publication titled "the kingdom interlinear of the christian greek scriptures" speaks for itself.. the word for word translation of the greek into english.. that publication does not even contain the name or word jehovah either in hebrew letters or greek letters anywhere in the word for word texts.. their is not one scripture in the n.t.
where christians ,followers of jesus christ are instructed to be witnesses of jehovah ,however there are something like twenty scriptures that explicitly state followers of jesus christ are to be witnesses of, for, and about jesus...

How Long Did It Take To Finally Leave The Organization Once You Realized It Was Really Not The Truth?
by minimus init actually took me a few years to finally leave the organization so i was mentally out for a while before i simply stopped all meetings altogether.. how long did it take you to finally make the break?

I wasn't certain it wasn't the "truth," nor did I care any longer just not returning. If it was God's chosen religion I wanted nothing to do with it.

Smiddy - did you have a similar topic over month ago (or so) re/Jesus in New Testament scripture to be worshipped not Jehovah? Scriptures were typed out and not one proving the name Jehovah -- I tried to locate for friend and either forgot about or couldn't find and gave up.

DOC - I said the same thing to JWs -- I wanted nothing to do with it and helped me make a split decision to never return -- no internet info or apostate lit to review. You either fit in or you don't. Think I read a book about birds one time or something called 'Running with the Wolves' -- whatever, and made sense to me.

by Tahoe inmy mother would be surprised that i did not die alone.. and that, in the end, about 25 people had volunteered to take care of me when i couldn’t do that for myself anymore.. it’s one thing, after you find out you’re going to die from metastatic colorectal cancer, to ask people to bring your favorite kind of gatorade.
it’s quite another to ask them to stand in the place of dna-sharing family and walk through hospice with you, but that’s what i had to do.. at the age of 23, i turned away from the family of jehovah’s witnesses who raised me.they had wanted me to be an uber-witness.
so my family forbade me to go to college and instead raised me to be a full-time, door-to-door minister who converted people to their way of thinking — i actually succeeded with one in about 15 years of trying — and to pay my bills by working menial jobs.. every meaningful connection in my life was through a local congregation of witnesses, known as the kingdom hall.

Thanks for the share - poignant. Glad she had loyal friends by her side and what a loss for her poor, deluded, bio-family. I hope the world is learning about the despicable WT cult and its evil.

Re/Med cruises: Appreciate the info and makes sense. Not sure I could stand being in the Euro territory and having limited time frame to de-board and spend only a few hrs. on land but I realize cruises have advantages (per my older friends/lol) especially for those golden yrs. when it's harder to schlep through airports/trains and all the walking. I know many younger people who love cruising - booze cruises and although they experience just a glimpse of Euro places that's enough for them.
