having commented earlier on experts' differing views, here's a prominent german physician/politician - wolfgang wodarg - who made controvorsial statements that the coronavirus "pandemic" is not out of the ordinary and that italy's mortality rate (8,215 deaths from coronavirus so far) is no greater than it would normally be from the 'flu virus.
in 2017/18 approx 18,000 italians died due to the flu.. the wikipedia section - controversial theses in the 2020 covid 19 crisis - is worth examining.
Seasonal flu usually doesn't KILL that many doctors - 40 as of today in Italy. This new stat in Italy gets the attention of statisticians who are hopeful it will be same as a bad flu epidemic, but I hope Wolfgang Woldarg is right.
He's not the only one saying it might be lower - or around 1/10 of a percent up to 1% after everyone is tested. The original stats off of models they were following out of London were over estimated but they're changing daily.

LHG - I want nothing from China nor did I before this horror. I'd heard people weren't eating Chinese food but I thought because they were worried about particular food ingredients/products coming from there. I don't think you're going to be alone - I love it, too - especially Panda Express/ay yi yi. I love the regular Chinese restaurants, also.

I think the US closed it's borders to China before Australia. President Trump closed down border January 30 and the liberals went berserk. Dems went off again when he closed down flights to/from Italy (re the outbreak info), Spain, etc. It's an emergency and Dems are having a difficult time hiding their true colors/lies.
Cuomo and de Blasio are only proficient at corruption and did nothing medically constructive in the state of NY to prepare them against pandemics or anything else. Thousands have been fleeing from the state of New York for past years because of the taxes, political horror/corruption alone. Now they can't get out of Dodge fast enough.

the orange man always passes difficult questions to someone else.
the lizard can't comprehend what the question is but tries to answer something.. cuomo comes out with facts, analysis and direction on what needs to be done.
Cuomo dropped the ball and turned down opportunity to purchase thousands of ventilators 2 yrs ago. He was offered first choice - he wouldn't update his state's inept system knowing it was antiquated and broken under Obama administration. He refused and ignored the facts and now he's crying like a brat and blaming/playing political games.
Obama - what a joke - how many people walked away from the Democratic party because of the ruling class' decades of corrupt history. I personally know so many people who couldn't stomach his non-leadership nor the Clintons. Why can't the Dem party get qualified candidates and stop the corruption - they've choked themselves and the country.

The governor of NY had a chance 2 yrs. ago to purchase 1600 respirators/ventilators but he turned them down.
The entire health care system (like the swamp DC and the military and the economy, etc., etc., broken/corrupt!) has been broken for years - nothing new.

Cuomo didn't prepare his state - not that any one did - but he likes to play blame game now when the federal gov't is doing everything possible for NY. He's lied one too many times now and not trustworthy. He should have learned under the Obama administration. Aside from his political blame game, I do appreciate his positive work thus far for the people of NY re/COVID 19. He's really hurt the other states allowing NYers to hit the road and run when many are infected - totally irresponsible spreading the disease. No wonder he's warning everyone else outside of NY they'll be in same boat. Makes sense - he's very liberal and doesn't believe in borders even during worldwide pandemic - why would one expect more of him.
