Do You Feel Your Rights Are Being Trampled On By Government Regarding Coronavirus?

i support local and state and federal government’s power to safeguard the public.

i wonder is it getting to a point where we will be told we can’t go out anymore, can’t use your phone or computer anymore because of the viruses that we can get, etc.

are we prolonging this virus at all ?

I don't think so but this is one mean virus killing medical personnel and I can't imagine the toll of anyone/everyone without stay at home rules. I have friends who've daughters that are RNs and thrilled they work at hospitals that are slow and laying off - both out of state. I've not heard of any layoffs here at hospitals. My family members - 2 at different hospitals and still working - babies still being delivered and the other one is in radiology.

Hahahaha - WTWizzy - I just looked up while typing and read your first line on your last paragraph. Oh you make me lol. Love it.

I do know our golf course (all in the state) is on lock down order from the Dem governor and there's some very unhappy golfers. Too many tattle tales with too much time gawking out their windows then posting all over the place and calling complaining about them standing right next to each other. What's hilarious is the Asians who live in here who pay no country club fees (just residents in community) out walking across the course pushing their $10K baby strollers along with their other children - it's hilarious. The course is supposedly patrolled - must be patrolled by the teenage blondebomb shells that drive the beverage carts. Some people are so disrespectful and there's some people that use it as they're walking course in the wee hours -- now they'll be fined/yeah, right.

latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.

the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

It's time consuming to say the least. I'm panicking about running out of rubbing alcohol and have gone through hand sanitizer, gloves, liquid soap, etc., paper towels, like crazy, but my supply of alcohol is limited. I'm trying to use bit less each time but probably end up using more.

I think something has been going around since fall. I've never been around more sick people in my life - the dentist, cleaning gals, manicurist, the bakery gal, hair stylist, etc., etc, family, etc. Know JWs were very ill (couldn't kick it with rest) - all that bunker hall enclosure w/germs not good. I know people who've been to ERs and quick cares more than once within a few wks. to a month (before the COVID 19 horror announced) and it's strange and have heard this from more than a few people. Couple of my friends in so cal sick for a good month - one of them is a big marathon runner and she's never sick. Good thing they cancelled the NY marathon. I did have a sore throat for a week - strange one. I didn't do anything - other than the scrubbing rituals which is inundating. Something weird out there.

My ExElder Best Friend Has Coronavirus

this has been a horrible month.

my best friend’s wife just called to tell me that my friend had to be hospitalized due to severe coronavirus complications.

he has severe pneumonia, is put on a ventilator and is in a coma .

Oh my, Min - so sorry to hear this. Social isolating and yet infected - so scary.

Grocery stores are time bombs and the negative info about wearing masks never made sense. I see so many older ones shopping with masks/gloves on.

Let's hope it's a good news day for your friend.

I think there were about 3 Republicans dumping stock - serious SEC violations (prob slaps on the hand for the ruling class) and I don't know how many Dems other than Pelosi - no surprise.

ICU doesn't sound good for the UK prime minister - hope he recovers and everyone else with this disease.

That's funny - I've never heard of those sites! I sure like the idea and gave up hope moons ago but certainly doubt there will be any mass exodus. If only - but life has certainly been full of shock lately.

Beth Sarim - was the video you're referring to one by Kim and Mikey? I recall one but didn't view - darn. Hopefully, someone will link.

If the COVID 19 returns - hopefully the heat will knock it down until next winter - how do we resume life again returning to hair stylists, etc? Going the 'homeless' look isn't especially attractive. Close proximity can't be avoided and vaccine could take a yr to yr and half away for controlled trials, etc.

let me think of a few advantages to having mexico do more manufacturing for us:.

- low cost labor .

- just drive around or jump over the wall to see family and friends.

Obviously, our politicians preferred selling us out to China for personal mega bucks vs. salsa and chips from Mexico. Research Diane Feinstein, among many others. They don't become multi millionaires just collecting the gov't salary - lots of creativity.

I hope in the next couple hrs! I appreciate the measures (lock downs, etc) in play but I realize life must go on - at some point.
