latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.
the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

Vander - thx for sharing the video. Very good one re/stats -- the music drove me crazy - I'll view again as the stats have changed since 4/12. I think it indicated one in 44,600 or 66,400 will die of COVID 19. I swear it seems like it's been more.

waton - are you in the US - doesn't sound like it.
I heard someone say that 1/3 of the COVID 19 deaths in the US are in the aged living facilities. That seems high to me and think I heard the rehabs are now experiencing more deaths past week or so. The facility my family member is at has not had any problems (or so I'm told) - yet - on the assisted side or the memory care. They locked down early even before the governor ordered stay at home and take temperatures at the door for healthcare professionals and staff. One could have COVID 19 and not have a fever - that wasn't too comforting.
The facilities here certainly have room for improvement re/the state's insurance they encourage residents to sign on for. I refused to drop the good insurance for my family member as I didn't want to forfeit hospitalizations if necessary. I don't know how the gov't can be so negligent with the elderly - I was shocked.

I agree re/balance in the system but that ship sailed long ago. The Dem party needs to start all over from ground zero - I'm not defending the Republican swamp-cohorts but the structure of the government has been corrupt for decades. Tax payers at the mercy of professional politicians using the gov't to become filthy rich and representing their conglomerate constituency,
As they remain on recess in DC yet receive special pay - go figure - the special ones.

Why isn't someone calling him out on this error?! Most talk show hosts take one call after the other - or the local radio stations playing tunes do. Whatever the flu "vaccines" happen to be they clearly are dicey unlike the vaccines for childhood diseases, polio, small pox, etc. It's impossible to predict and manufacture a flu vaccine that will save lives with the successful track record of what we 'think' are vaccines. Most of us were clueless how many deaths a yr. the common flu is responsible for - all factored in like auto accidents so no big deal.
