  so, the actions of cops have come under scrutiny in recent days, what with the trial of derek chauvin and the death of daunte wright.

  i certainly hope justice is served in both those cases.. what is easy for people to forget, is just what police officers have to deal with on a regular basis, during their interactions with citizens.. here's a video breaking down one such interaction.. a car owner was driving his car but the tags weren't legally displayed.

  cops wanted him to pull over but the driver continued driving for a mile and a half with a police car following with sirens and lights.

  It is insane. When I see them at signal lights or pulling over vehicles they look stressed. Their lives are on the line and they're dealing with so much crazy it's unimaginable. Scary to think so many are leaving, retiring, etc., from the ranks. They're critical to society and there needs to be many more not less.

  most of my friends have gotten the vaccines and are quite confident that it’s just what the doctor ordered.

  i’m not confident with dr. fauci.

  i don’t like the fact that the makers of the vaccines are not held responsible if someone taking the vac develops an illness or even death.

  No accountability only because it was approved during an emergency pandemic (COVID 19) as were some previous vacs.

  Just received call to see if I was watching the news -- I'm not but CDC made statement that perhaps these vacs aren't safe. So glad I'm not watching but Tucker Carlson is going back and forth re/the positives/negatives, apparently. Anyone hearing same? I was also told more blood clots occurring in women on birth control pills.

  No one has evidence of how many adverse reactions or deaths re/the vacs.

  Do You Tip At Eateries?

  if you go to a restaurant, do you tip and typically how much?

  if you were given a 90 minute time frame to eat at a restaurant, would that restriction limit your tipping to the waitress or waiter?.

  also if you order a coffee and donut and pick it up, do you contribute to the “tip jar” that’s on the counter?

  Yes - even when gratuity tips (18%) are included in the bill and all the food deliveries. Live in a tipping town - even tip the mailman for taking time to ring doorbell and scan packages to be returned. I carry or have X amount of cash on hand weekly just for tipping.

  Coke is the nectar of the gawds but I only allow myself a couple of sippy-poos - not good for you. I have noticed it tasting flat and assumed it was old stuff Walmart was selling and pick up at speedy 7-11 where they turn it fast.

  minimus - Diet Coke is like guzzling liquid crack/lol! I know so many people addicted to it. They've drank it for yrs. -- can't give it up and they're still kickin'.

  this is a good watch.. i agree with it 100% - the people pushing for everyone having to carry id are the ones that have shown over and over again that they can't be trusted with people's information.

  the tech companies want it because they would be able to link online tracking and information logging with people's real-world activities.

  One source, Tel Aviv University, reporting those double vac'd are 8 times more likely to be infected w/the African variant than the unvaccinated.

  Seems to be many issues with the vaccines and difficult to find list of all the deaths on the CDC site (or was if they were reported as vac-related) but the list has been posted on some social media sites and is lengthy. It could be hype.

  51% of medical care workers are not being vaccinated. That's shocking.

  I'm the only one in my social circle who is still being a hermit. No social life - if a workman comes to the residence for an emergency - audio system goes boom, microwave or dishwasher on the blink (something critical) the technicians and workmen literally think I'm a loon. Huge sliders/doors wide open for fresh air flow - high winds - it's very cold but I don't care. I do have construction done on the exterior - pool redone, cool decking whatever it's called, planters resurfaced/painted but safe compared to inside. I wear 2 masks (before ever recommended or use one with a face shield. I ask everyone to keep applying hand sanitizer and I stay as distanced as possible from people.

  I know quite a few people (senior age) who have contacted COVID and have been hospitalized. Lost one friend/one family member.

  We have different stats -- Hospitals were empty here and pretty much everywhere except during a few peak periods of time. I know a few people who were hospitalized here and California. California was overloaded in couple areas because of the border needing treatment -- info per the medical community. Of course Los Angeles hospitals were busting at the seams during certain times.

  I don't know about Astra Zeneca but Pfizer and Moderna have cleaned up with profits. Moderna's profits were up 13% within the first 2 weeks of distribution of injections. Pfizer has made great profits. Federal gov't has paid for all this -- the taxpayer but money well spent if the vacs work.

  You're making ludicrous statements. Any virus can be dangerous and deadly especially to the aged and infirm. Of course some younger people have been slammed hard with it. I never indicated otherwise.

  Did lose a family member during COVID - last June and the hospital was empty - so desperate for patients and low staffed.

  I'm personally very cautious and limit my association with anyone - have looked homeless for a year now.
