2021-09-22-covid jw deaths--philippines .
see the bottom of paragraph 1.
"these figures indicate that the ratio of deaths among the brothers is even higher than among the general population.
That's sad. No life-saving meds in the Philippines or are they refusing them treatment!
i would like to visit las vegas one day.
if you have a choice, would you want to live there?
low humidity sounds good to me.
GreatTeacher -- Yes! I'm a California girl and love the ocean blue (so cal) and have certainly missed it during most of this covid horror. I don't like what's going on in my beloved San Francisco or parts of so cal - oh my! I even love aspects of central cali like the Basque restaurants, Dewars (was our soda fountain yrs. ago - I think they're even at Disneyland now and ship candy all over the world).
I do love the desert and the great restaurants here.

I was just told very few (over all) leaving the LV area - some people were never called back to jobs that paid very well. There's an influx of people moving here from all over - not just California.
We have one of the best airports in the country for flights almost anywhere. The area has hiking, (Red Rock), fishing, water skiing, boating (Lake Mead), snow-skiing, Mt. Charleston, and Park City, Utah, and Mammoth, California, just a hop away.
I think the desert is beautiful -- if only the saguaros grew here like they do in Arizona.

Honestly, when you live here in LV you don't even pay attention to the strip and all the fake - never see the strip unless I'm crossing over to the east side of town which is very seldom. I think it's one of the fastest growing cities around and real estate values increasing daily. Cost of living is one of the highest -- no state taxes but higher DMV fees - this that the other and people complain. Unfortunately, landlords are raising rents so high many young families are leaving LV - they're heart broken and do not want to leave LV. They're unable to find a place to rent or affordable housing. There's an influx of Californians fleeing here.
The weather is amazing except for summer months. People that grew up here and live elsewhere all miss the LV summer nights. The fall, winter and spring time is gorgeous. Clear sunny days most of the time - (only rains about 6-7 times a yr) and a crispness in the air. Beautiful sunsets and mountain ranges surrounding the valley.
Before the 8 yr. Great Recession LV had more 5-star restaurants than any other place on planet earth. Renown chefs from around the world are here and it was #2 for shopping behind Rome, Italy.
The state university now has not only the legal school but medical/dental - has had the Ford Engineering and hotel management for several yrs.
Have never gambled but have many friends who bet on sports. I do see the strip for dinners/socials which are avoided during busy times as much as possible.
Home of Area 51 and the Air Force Thunderbirds -- and another military base besides Nellis - Creech, I think (drones).
i am not so sure if i am willing to discuss cbd with my jw aunt.
.
THC is the compound that makes you high (I had to look up) yet is good for sleep? Very interesting.
If it's safe for sleep do tell/lolol. My hairdresser was chatting that some type of marijuana (I know nothing about any of this) really helps couple of his clients.
when i was a kid we had a kh with a basement and this guy joe winestien lived in it.
he has passed away i believe.
he was about 24 and used to hang around the young boys.
Ahh, GF stands for 'grandfather' - appreciate the info, nbd. It's funny!!
just saw the following you tube video.
it’s 3 hours long, but thoroughly interesting.
if you want to save yourself 3 hours, basically the active mormon church is about 3 million.
Jeffro - thanks for the good info. I'd read they were both off of Millerism or JWs off of 2nd day Adventism. That's why I always assumed they were very similar. I was shocked when someone told me they'd read a book an SDA had given them and they are not the same/different but she's no biblical scholar. I was shocked.
You're over my head re/interpretations of Daniel = Adventism but I'll take your word for it.

Yes - SDA's have been leading the pack for few yrs. now. Growing in nos all over the world. Fact they're one of the Blue Zones (Loma Linda, California) doesn't hurt. They're either #1 or #2 for longevity in the world. It's impressive but as far as I know some strange beliefs - probably not more so than WT but I don't know. I'd assumed they were similar to JW religion -- apparently not. I think they accept the trinity now? They do believe in blood transfusions and stress education/science - always a win-win. They're quite the vegetarians.
They aren't considered a toxic religion like WT. Many in the medical arena are SDAs and run a successful hospital - renown Loma Linda Hospital in Redlands, (Loma Linda), California, at the edge of San Bernardino, Calif. Beautiful area, perfect weather and live in flip-flops and shorts yr. round. Redlands was the 'Palm Springs' yrs. ago. Non- SDA friends love the area - wouldn't think of living anywhere else and adore the SDA neighbors/friends in community. They've great respect for the SDAs.
great news.. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-58309254.
pfizer's two-dose covid-19 vaccine has received full approval from the us food and drug administration (fda) - the first jab to be licensed in the nation.. .
the vaccine had initially been given emergency use authorisation.
Has it been approved -- experts (ethical virologists) say NO! They're allowing another emergency vax under another name to hit the streets which isn't available yet.
Gov't and media are pushing the 'approval' agenda.
Many interpretations re/the Pfeizer 'approval' but time will tell.
