  thick and thin, they had been publishing Biblical truths about God's Kingdom

  in the pages of this magazine. Surely it would be more accurate to say he as in russel

  than they Jesus had prophesied that "on arriving" to inspect his

  domestics during "the conclusion of the system of things," he would find a slave providing

  them "food at the proper time." He would pronounce that slave happy

  andwould "appoint him over all his belongings" on earth. (Matt. 24:3, 45-47) As Head

  of the Christian congregation, Christ has used this "faithful and discreet slave"

  to administer His Kingdom interests on earth. He has provided direction for the

  anointed "domestics" and their "other sheep" companions by means of a Governing

  Body.-John 10:16. Does that scripture prove that claim true?

  so my wife and i took a last min trip to visit her bro in seattle....they wanted to go to at least 1 day of their dc.

  long story short, the last talk of the day was by s. lett of the gb.

  this was the talk where the two glossy brochures were released.

  Notice the point the tract is making about quality.

  Human manufacturers often have to sacrifice

  quality to produce an item at a fast pace. How

  is it possible, then. that cells can reproduce

  so fast and so accurately if they are the product

  of undirected accidents?

  Now notice how the book they reference points out that while new brain

  cells are formed at the astounding rate of 250.000

  per minute this is many more than are needed and that the excess are

  pruned away. The info on pages 16 and 17 seems more to suggest the

  process of evolution then to support them I would say.

  So if this is typical maybe they should not emphasize the bibliography

  I have a ten year old grandson and a discussion started by a question of how a cherry pit comes to be led all the way to adam and eve dying in the day they consumed the fruit and how that day turned out to be 1000 years. His comment "who would want to be married for 1000 years?" and then "shut-up already" speaks to how ready he would be for baptism. Oh Just a minute now. Maybe that is sufficiently perceptive.

Over the year's many people have had people come to their door saying: i am one of Jehovah's witnesses and I am bringing the good news of a kingdom to be established imminently that will destroy your sorry ass if you don't take this magazine and start studying with me and coming to our kingdom hall.

  Day 1 of the convention

  here's a brief recount of things that stood out to me this year upon my awakening...probably old hat for most of you.

  the first experience i heard was from a sister who was afraid to speak to her fleshly sisters about "the truth" and her conscience was really bothered.

  she felt horrible that they were going to die unless she shared the "truth" with them.

  God is not a good Samaritan

  i don't start threads very often, but yesterday i had something of an epiphany as i was doing some work in the yard.

  deep in thought, as i usually am when doing mundane tasks, it occurred to me that while jesus encouraged us to be "good samaritans", god himself is not a good samaritan.

  in the parable by jesus, a traveler is left beaten and robbed on the side of the road.

  I really do like to read the stuff that can/could/perhaps even should be inspirational like some of what various ones like aguest, Justitia themis and others provide here. but to thoughts such as these "By compelling those who HAVE heard to help her..." I would have to say, so how's that seem to be workin out?
