  Saturday morning field service is a joke

  i havent been going door to door saturday mornings for since i can't remember when.

  i have been putting in regular reports to the congregation but the last time i actually went on a door was probably six months ago or so and it has been at least 2 years since i did a saturday morning.

  9:30 we showed up to the group arrangement, we waited outside because we were not sure that it was the right place.

  It certainly is a joke, I try not to go out but I get the guilt talk, so to keep the peace I go out. What irratates me is when we are working house over house with another couple or two, these others always seem to walk very slow or stand around on the street talking to each other. leaving us to do about 7 out of every 10 houses. If the others are pioneers then our house rate that I knock on is closer to 4 out of every 5 houses on the street.

  No matter how manys hours or not a month I do, I only report 1 hr. No one else in my congregation have got the Biblical right to judge my spiritually / relationship with Jehovah based only on the field service hours I do. Unfortunately that now appears to be the way we are looked upon (Judged) in the congregation.

  JW.ORG signs on Assembly Hall

  what the hell is going on here?

  i drove past the assembly hall today and noticed the square blue jw.org signs on the building.

  coupled with the steel gate that keeps worldlings out, it really looks quite cultish.. so is that the new name for the kingdom halls or something?

  The Hall near here had one put on 3 weeks ago now, its about 4 - 5 metres off the ground.

  Fudging the Numbers: Is the WTBTS in decline?

  it's no secret that the wtbts has a cash flow problem.

  over the past three years they have closed 20 of their 116 branches.

  they have sold off most of their properties in and around ny (including some kingdom halls), drastically reduced the # of printed pages for the watchtower and awake magazines, reduced the printing of books and other materials, increased the number of single page tract campagnes, installed cc machines at their assembly halls, and are now seizing of controll of property assets from local kingdom halls using renovation projects.

  I would also say that it is more like 80/20, maybe even closer to 85/15.

  Not sure what details are in your book about the WTBTS, but there are reports on this site and You Tube that they are coming down on people with copyright notices who quote from their material and are using it in a negative way.

  st. louis (kmox) - st. louis police are asking for your help in finding a man who set fire to the kingdom hall of jehovahs witnesses at 2428 north grand.. the fire occurred saturday september 13th at 6:15 a.m.. a surveillance camera recording shows a suspect: a white male with a beard and mustache wearing a green jacket and coveralls.. anyone with information is asked to call crimestoppers at 866 371 tips.. man sought for setting fire to jehovahs witness building.

  Paranoia of today's WT study!

  the wt study for sept 7th just breeds such a spirit of paranoia!.

  using old biblical references just so as to prevent anyone from using critical thinking skills and analysing the "truth".. then using incorrect, leading reasoning to paint any who "think outside of the box" of the org as "apostate".... pure manipulation!.

  I got that feeling a few weeks back, the bro on mics was standing behide me, looking over my shoulder. Not sure what he would have seen, but if he looked hard enough he would have seen that the WT I had open was not the right one, thats because I don't have the current WT and I didn't want to look out of place. Or have someone else give me their WT.

  2014 MEMORIAL ATTENDANCES FOR REST OF THE WORLD

  the october kingdom ministry for the united states reported the 2014 memorial attendances for the us branch office that has subsequently been well discussed in a separate thread.

  in that thread, a poster asserted that in some parts of europe the attendance had been higher than last year - but to date no source evidence has been provided.. so, have memorial attendances for other parts of the world been reported in any of the publications such as kingdom ministryyet?.

  if so, could you direct me to the source(s).

  With this decrease, I can see that it won't be long before they stop publishing these numbers in the KM and yearbooks, because these numbers don't support the increase that the WT keep on telling us is happening, and we can't have the average JW questioning these numbers. Wait a minute, we believe everything the slave tell us, so this increase is a wonderful sign of faith that we are truly in Jehovahs organisation.
