Hello
by lurkernomore ini thought it was high time to introduce myself (without my name of course).
as my name would suggest i have been reading your intriguing post, thoughts and discussions for some time now.
around 3/4 months to be exact.. i guess to start with it would seem fitting to give a little background on my current situation.. i'm a born-in, but have over the last few years found that through a number of varying occurences, (some of which i may discuss in future posts) that my 'zeal' has gone from regular field service and meetings to no service in over a year and very sporadic meeting attendance.

Is is right to leave your job for the WT? In an assembly interview
by skin inwe had an assembly part here 6 months ago where a sister was interviewed by the co because she left her job to do more wt work, she talked about some jobs that she had recently been offered with good pay but turned these down.
most listening to this is would be thinking that this sister is being blessed by jehovah for taking this stand, how much faith she has to do this and what can we do personally with our own jobs, made me almost feel guilty for having a job.
anyway come forward 6 months to now, this family has had to move to another region because the husband couldnt find enough work to support his family here.

We had an assembly part here 6 months ago where a sister was interviewed by the CO because she left her job to do more WT work, she talked about some jobs that she had recently been offered with good pay but turned these down. Most listening to this is would be thinking that this sister is being blessed by Jehovah for taking this stand, how much faith she has to do this and what can we do personally with our own jobs, made me almost feel guilty for having a job. Anyway come forward 6 months to now, this family has had to move to another region because the husband couldn’t find enough work to support his family here. Makes me sick to think that a religion can use this unscriptural reasoning to affect the family arrangement like that. But that’s not the way JWs think. They will tell us that this family moved away because it is Jehovah’s will, or maybe because the need is greater where they have gone.

by Magnum infor over thirty years i observed among jws the phenomenon of co worship/idolatry.
i, myself, was somewhat guilty of it even though i rather quickly caught on and detected something wrong.. think about the week of the co visit.
during that week most attention is given to and most thought is about the co. the supposed sovereign of the universe takes a backseat.

Visiting delegates, are another group that get looked upon as being in a higher class than the average JW. We had an international convention here last year and I was disgusted in the amount of attention that we were asked to show toward these people in the months leading up to the convention. I heard reports of JW's planning to go to the airport so they could be one of the first to meet these special people when they arrive, nothing wrong with that, but would they have done this if we didn't have months of announcements leading up to the event, telling us to make the delegates feel more than welcome.

Don't we normally hear about the new convention releases by now?
by average joe inam i missing something here :) whats the deal google isnt bringing up any names of the new releases or anything from the conventions.
i am curious as to what this year will bring?
