Dont you just love the way WT go on about how wonderful they are because "no collections are ever taken at our meetings". But when our congregation don't meet the monthly amount that was pledged, we had read out to us from the platform a very rude letter from the branch explaining that we need to as a congregation keep up with our monthly pledge that we had made. Make sure that our yes means yes and so on... No sign of the branch being loving towards us as brothers and forgiving us for the shortfall of money, oh NO, Just, we want your money and we want it now!.

Counting time
by Emma ini may not have put this in the correct spot, but i do think it's scandalous the way time gets counted now.
i've seen a cart at the edge of our farmer's market, never anyone close enough to talk.
yesterday was a drizzly day and there were two carts set up, covered in plastic, "witnessing" on their own.

Some of the side points to counting time that I disagreed with were.
1: If they need to know hours, like they always go on about, why do we even need to put our name on that paper slip. Wouldn't simply a reminder announcement at the end of each month to fill in that time slip without names do? That way they don't break the judging other people bible command.
2: How many times have we been doing house over house with another couple (usually pioneers), who spend more time talking and hardly moving down the street, meanwhile here I am (was) knocking on about 4 doors to there 1. Then within the hour of starting they are off down the road to the local coffee shop.

"Coping with Shunning" by Barbara Anderson
by AndersonsInfo inhttp://watchtowerdocuments.org/coping-with-shunning/.
by barbara anderson.
when my husband and i left the religion of jehovah’s witnesses (jws), we, like countless others, lost family members and friends because of the witnesses shunning doctrine.

Is that really a photo of your son? Or do they use an actor for these photos?.

What do you think would have happened to you if...
by LevelThePlayingField inyou found out about ttatt way back in the 70's or maybe the 80's (basically before the internet) and you thought that you were all alone in this knowledge?
what do you think would have happened to you?
no jehovahs-witness.com, no john cedars, no arc, no jwfacts.com and no crisis of conscience to fall back on.

I found out the TTATT by reading just WT publications. You need a very poor memory to remain a loyal WT believer. But that is what most witness's have. A quote from a talk in the last convention said "If you read WT only publications you will be protected from apostasy".

We know what the witnesses are told about the evil media. The evil media that make up these negative stories. So reports published in the news that put WT in an unfavorable light will not be read and we know that this information will not be addressed at the KH meetings. So continue to advertise by this means.

WT "Study" for 4th September 2016 - “Seek the Kingdom, Not Things”
by Nicholaus Kopernicus ini’m sitting there in the kingdom hall just thinking how rich it is of the gbojw to preach about materialism when they have recently been evidenced to be using bro’s & sis’ contributions to the world wide work to travel business class!
just that thought alone was leading me to read scripture while they were all engaged in the wt “study”.. however, then it came to paragraph 17 and i blurted / choked a little.
the paragraph said that “we should not imitate the people of ‘the nations,’ who have no real faith in a loving heavenly father who cares for those who put the interests of his kingdom first in their life.”.

Who remembers the time when materialism was considered OK, it was just how you allowed it to control your life that was frowned upon. How many on here know of Elders with everything in life, grand house, nice cars, latest technically, it will be these ones that stand up in front of the meetings and tell everyone to simplify your life, and the ones that listen will be the ones that can't afford to listen, but they do.

WT Study - 28th Aug 2016 - “Do Not Let the Faults of Others Stumble You”
by Nicholaus Kopernicus inin paragraph 2 of this study, the gbojw evidences once again that they are sticking to the absurd 1914 doctrine – “when the last days of the present system began...”.
i noted that as 2014 approached, the gbojw became somewhat reticent about making reference to revelation 12:12 – the “short period of time” scripture.
so this study is the first one in a long time in which both the 1914 doctrine and revelation 12:12 are mentioned in the same study.

Nice report on that WT study. I had to sit through it. Like this WT and a lot of these other so called bible studies, they are more about not leaving WT, remain loyal to WT (jehovahs organization). They are cutting off any and all possible exits from this religion. And if you do leave, your former WT friends and family are trained to look down at you because you have let Satan take over you. Thank you WT for promoting your message of love!

to lie or to deceive (w 12/2016, par 18, 19)
by George One Time inwhy not use a biblical example, like jacob when deceiving his father isaac?
jehovah himself seems to have no problem with deceiving.
or 1 kings 22:19-22 "who will deceive ahab?

One of our local elders was interviewed by the co at a recent assemble, he was asked, "what changes did you make when you made the truth your own". His answer, "After praying to Jehovah, and reading the Bible daily, I realized i had to slave off my beard".

False Prophecy in the Bible: Zebulun

Could there be two places with simular names? Those 2 locations are spelt slightly different. Otherwise good fine.
