Goodbye my friends.
by StephaneLaliberte infor almost 12 years now, i have been coming to this site on a regular basis and in the last 5, i “faded out”.
i never regretted this and never will.
unfortunately though, yesterday, i realized that, until i can publically tell all my old acquaintances why i have left, i will never be truly free.

I realized that, until I can publically tell all my old acquaintances why I have left, I will never be truly free.
Don't worry. The JW rumor mill would have already spread around all your JW friends with some far fetched made up story for the reason you left. Not sure if your old acquaintances would be interested in the real reason you left since they have the approved WT version of why you and others leave.

Not new really - but in the news in Canada today

Interesting reading. Her protesting like that near the hall is not going to do anything. Those attending that hall are trained by WT to view people like her as evil liars, apostates. That sort of thing would never happen in Jehovahs organization. Sad for both sides.

The book burning has started
by pale.emperor indon't know if this is a global thing but i've just been told by a pimo member of my old congregation that a min servant has been given the task of destroying all old books/literature in the kh library prior to 1992.. could be the elders (or even one of them) on a mission to stamp out dissent as my ex-wife used the same reasoning to her elder dad that i used in my jc: rutherfords books containing failed predictions.. anyone else heared anything?.
the ms who's been given the task is a company man.
no hope of him keeping them or selling them on ebay.. they have some russell books in that library too.

This is how it happened here in this area (New Zealand). It would be about 5-6 years ago now, we had a letter read out to the congregation from the Branch office (Australia). They requested that all the old books (in the KH library or our personal collections) be sent over to the Branch because they needed them for the JW museum that they were putting together over there. Our extensive KH library disappeared, and so did another KH library that I know of. There was also a rumor going around at the time, that because of the cost to post these books over to Australia, the instruction was then to destroy them.

From the WT dated Dec 2017 - study 1 para 11 studied by all congregations 4th Feb 2018.The Question asked on this paragraph is:
”11. What did the physician Luke report happened to a young man, and how did that affect others?”
Paragraph 11 in this WT reads:
“11 Others became eyewitnesses to another resurrection. One time, the apostle Paul was at a meeting in an upper room in Troas, in what is now northwest Turkey. Paul spoke till midnight. A young man named Eutychus was listening, seated at a window. But he dozed off and fell from the third story to the ground below. Perhaps the physician Luke was the first to reach Eutychus, and Luke made a medical assessment: Eutychus was not merely injured and unconscious—he was dead! Paul came downstairs and embraced the corpse, and then he made the dramatic announcement: “He is alive.” What a profound impact that would have had on eyewitnesses! Knowing the facts and grasping that a resurrection had occurred, they “were comforted beyond measure.”—Acts 20:7-12.”
Now read the WT question again: “What did the physician Luke report happened to a young man, and how did that affect others?”
Was Luke really there? Where does Bible say or infer that Luke was in attendance with Paul that evening, to be able to make that medical assessment on Eutychus?. Was it because Luke wrote the book of Acts, meaning that he must have been an eye witness to every event that is recorded in Acts? and if so, how do we know that he was the first to reach Eutychus after he fell?

Married witness is caught on video stripping on his door to door ministry! Hilarious
by Betheliesalot inhttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5058729/married-jehovah-s-witness-seduced-actress.html just saw this today and not sure if it is real or just a set up to "poke" fun at witnesses .

That guy is wearing a funny back pack, I've never known JW's to use a back pack like that in the D2D work.
At 27 sec into the video, clearly looks like he is wearing blue jeans. Another JW no-no when going D2D.
At the moment I'm guessing this news item is not real.

"Wondrous expansion is now taking place!"
by stuckinarut2 inso we have all heard the worldwide reports about khalls being sold off and congregations being amalgamated etc.... of course, jws are being told that these actions are a sign of "just how much the work is progressing, and how jehovah is blessing the increase and expansion!".
i can share the following from my part of the world too!.
in perth, western australia the following has occurred.. three "new" congregations have been formed!

That is correct. "If they told them from the platform that Red is now Blue - they'd bob their heads and agree with that too."
The public talk last week told us that "People in the world recognize that JW's are a happy people".

It saddens me to know that marriages break up because of religion and the blame, whose fault it is ?
by smiddy3 ina jehovah`s witness couple who have been married for many years and some with children of various ages and have been serving in their congregation meeting attendance, fs and bible studies with their children for many years .. and then one of them begins to have doubts about what they are being taught and what they actually are supposed to believe now that some changes have been made with nu-lite.. the doubts grow and then the the use of the internet to investigate further some of the claims of the gb/wt religion .. with the wealth of information available on the www it now becomes impossible to continue to be an active member of the jehovah`s witness religion without being an utter hypocrite .
you no longer believe them anymore that they alone are gods chosen people in this day.. however your spouse does not see things the way you do not at all and after many months of arguments bickering threats the ultimatum is something like if you don`t believe what i believe that you have left jehovah we can`t live together anymore ,i want a divorce unless you come to your senses.. who is the one here breaking up the marriage ?.
isn`t it in the majority of cases the jw who ends the marriage ?

How do Witnesses view separation?
The Bible encourages marriage mates to stay together even under less than ideal circumstances. (1 Corinthians 7:10-16) Many problems can be resolved by praying earnestly, applying Bible principles, and showing love.—1 Corinthians 13:4-8; Galatians 5:22.
Nevertheless, in extreme situations such as the following, some Christians have decided to separate from a marriage mate:
Willful nonsupport.—1 Timothy 5:8.
Extreme physical abuse.—Psalm 11:5.
Absolute endangerment of spiritual life. For example, a spouse might try to force a Witness to break God’s commands in some way, and the threatened mate might decide that a separation is the only way to “obey God as ruler rather than men.”—Acts 5:29.
