Sympahty for Circuit and District Overeer's Poor Wives
by frankiespeakin in.
i would like this thread to express sympathy for these poor women, that because of being duped by a typical "end of the world cult", have given up a stable enviroment, suffer god know what as they endure listening to the same booring talk for 6 months, away from friends and family, no home to decorate, under constant scrutiny from the other sisters, etc.... i wouldn't like this thread to degenerate into what bad things these poor victims of an "end of the world cult" have done, but more toward sympathy, to help especially the younger ones who may be reading jwd, and need the courage to do something to get out of this predicament, before they waste thier whole life away slaving for the ungratefull wt organization.. they could use some help here and understanding as well.

Pass the Jesus I need a hit!
by free2beme ini hate to say this, as there may be some here that fit this description, but people deep into jesus with all that saved talk and accepting jesus talk, look the same as the person trying to get me to take a hit on the bong.
these people seem stoned hard core and in la-la land of some fantasy and wonder why others don't want to ride the crazy train with them.
personally, i find these people to be almost alien to me, in that they seem so into their religion of "save" and "accept" this, that there is no reasoning or even discussing a different subject with them.

I would take the smoke, just not the Jesus hit ... although I saw a bong with Jesus on it once. Nearly died laughing, finally a gateway for the Jesus freaks!

You mention the sunny day and next thing you know there saying, "have you found Jesus?" You mention your hungry and they say, "have you accepted Jesus into your heart?" Either way, it sickens me, and I never saw Witnesses this was, in or out of the religion. This is a different group all together and something very odd. I think fo the most case, they trade one drug for another. Religion is a lot like a drug. Do you feel the same, or did I offend someone?

Does The GB Assign Someone To Make Believe They Are An XJW On This Forum?
by frankiespeakin ini think from time to time we have posters here that may be assigned by the gb to speak xjw speak and try to discourage posters from attacking the organization, or to just give up our internet fight to expose them, to just give up our efforts and forget about the wt.
if they did this they would have to keep close tabs on whoever they assign because they know that there is a great possiblity they may turn on them.
or perhaps they would trust no one except themselves and so you might even have a member of the gb actually posting in disguise.

They'd be foolish not to have these boads monitored for hurtful leaks, and use the info to make their damage control more effective. So, I think there are registered members here that scan for that kind of intel, but are mostly non-posting and lurking
I doubt this 100%

I have read many boards over the years and come and gone many times. It is normal and if you spend any length of time of ANY board, you will see several. Perhaps it is, seeing how much they are loved, letting people know where they went (so there isn't a bunch of, "where is ... " post), or maybe they forgot to pay their internet, cable or phone bill and this kind of post is easier then explaining that embarassing mishap. Either way, it has been my experience that about 90% of them come back and say good-be again at some yet undetermined date for other reasons. Again, as normal as anything you could ever describe on a message board.

I get paid $20 a post! Oh really, do you think they would care that much? There are tons of these things online and nothing said here, isn't mailed to the Watchtower Society on a daily basis ... oh, except for the good post that have nothing to do with religion that I have seen. ;)

Something about religion
by free2beme inwhen i was a witness, i thought all religions were wrong and all people were wrong, unless they were in the witness religion.
i would speak with other people and share the thoughts of the watchtower organization and no matter what another person said to me, i did not listen, as i was the only one right and all other religions and faiths (any faiths, even no belief in god and those into science), were all wrong and not worth the time.
even when i made statements to others, saying things like, "we are glad to see you believe in jesus" or "we are glad to see you read the bible.

When I was a Witness, I thought all religions were wrong and all people were wrong, unless they were in the Witness religion. I would speak with other people and share the thoughts of the Watchtower organization and no matter what another person said to me, I did not listen, as I was the only one right and all other religions and faiths (any faiths, even no belief in god and those into science), were all wrong and not worth the time. Even when I made statements to others, saying things like, "we are glad to see you believe in Jesus" or "we are glad to see you read the Bible." I honestly thought they were wasting their time and unless they became a Witness, it was certain death for them. When I left the religion I started attending other faiths and studied other philosophies and this is the conclusion I have come too.
It does not matter what faith you hold too, it does not matter what religion you attend or study and it does not matter what philosophy you hold too (atheism, science, etc). You are the same way and only now, you added your past religion on to the list of faiths you think are wasting their time and not doing what is right in your thoughts and eyes. It is with all certainty, that I have learned that it is what defines religion and to say otherwise is to ignore what you are thinking and to say something that makes others feel better. No different from saying, "I am glad you read the Bible" or "I am glad you believe in Jesus." You believe what you believe and see others as not being correct in their beliefs, unless they share the same thought.
Maybe I am saying something that is simple to read, but troubling to accept. Yet in all, it is a reality I realize and I think others do too. All religion and faiths are wrong, until you join them and then all others but that one are. To add, other truths about all religions.
1. They all have urban legends of faith causing change in people's lives.
2. They all have people who have had their lives changed dramatically from joining.
3. They all have miracles they hold too, that seem unique and special to the religion.
4. They are to some degree, about control (some more then others).
I have studied several, attended many and talked with people from all over about how they feel and how they see others and have yet to see one faith that did not fall into my conclusion and would hear anything to the contrary as "Were glad to see you read the Bible."
