It would be an awesome lawsuit. I could see the news now.
"A huge earthquack hits Japan. Which we have to claim is a sign of the end, as the JW's sued us."
so many disasters, so much trouble and so many religions wanting to claim this all is a sign of the end.
i was thinking, would it make sense for a religion to lay legal claim to all the troubles in the world.
this would be done, in order for their take on the end to have merit?

Maybe, in looking over my post, I was not clear. I would in no way support this person and have nothing to do with him after our conversation. In fact, I hope I never meet him or have any personal contact. I would rather speak to elders again, before I carried on even a conversation about the great smell of coffee with this person of the silent lambs. Ummm .... is that clear enough? LOL

As all these overlapping signs of the end is confusing and kind of misleading. As I do not know who to believe. Do I see the JW belief and accept that this small religion is the only right one and wait for birds to eat corpses. Or do I accept Glenn Beck and buy backpacks with freeze dried food to make it to the end? So confusing and someone needs to take legal action and take credit that is set out in paper. Oh it is just so confusing, are the cults right or wrong or is this just a normal series of events caused my power trips and bad choices in a crowded world. Please, some religion lay a legal claim to this. Stand up and say you have the legal right to say this is a sign that belongs to your BULL SHIT claim of the end. Please!!!!

I had some (minor) contact with this person you mentioned in the past. All of which went very negative, quickly, and were not in anyway something I would care to see her. Some people are just not good communicators and should learn a more professional way of representing and organization. While my contact was minor, I read a lot that were not. In this person's defense though, I will say that when you surround yourself with a lot of negative energy and anger. You are not immune to picking up some of that and letting it form you. Plus, like elders, if you are not a schooled professional. You should not be a councilor.
hi im part of a group of ex jh,s, we meet for drinks and dinner, go to football games.many of the guys do drugs,(i dont, i like sport) , most live very hedonistic lifestyles, lets leave it at that,(im happily married).
my point is, when i left, i was honest, and got df,d.
now im experiencing the same kind of shit that i experieced in the hall, the ex jw,s are just as judgemental, and stupid as when they were at the kingdom hall, for eg you were df,d we were not,it doesnt matter to them, that their doing coke and getting into group sex.
Judgemental thinking is in all groups, as small as a group of two. One will see the other as not being the way they want, or something, and judge. However, I know your point is having to do with the former Witnesses, so I will address that.
Since I am one of those 'faders' and actually decided I did not believe it and left and never turned back. I have at times seen myself as different from those who were disfellowshipped. I will explain. You see, the day I accepted that I did not believe it or see the organization as anything but men in suits. I did not respect the elders, the congregation or the society. I did not return calls, accept invites to meet with them or speak with any of them. I was told by one former elder, now a former Witness, that I was 'treating them like useless idiots and it was obvious I was out.' So basically, I was out in both mind and body.
Now, with disfellowshipping, I see something different. I see someone who still wants to be in the congregation, under the organization and yet live their life with mistakes not acceptable by the society. So they meet with elders, confess sins and wrong doing, and basically throw their lives on them to be judged and hopefully accepted. Realizing that they are humbling themselves, and asking for forgiveness from people they see to be representatives of Jehovah.
You see, that defines two groups. Another group you did not mention are the disassociated. One who see the organization as something they seperate from and follow what those in authority say is needed to be done to seperate. While, I may see myself more in line with the disassociated, I do not see myself in line with disfellowshipped individuals as much. As part of me, will think inside, 'are they still seeing them as something or someone to listen to?' or, 'Did they really think they could break the rules in stay in?' Which are valid thoughts and I think it is worth admitting to.
how do jw's deal with the fact that if you fry up a hamburger, there's some blood in it?
do they eat it anyway?.
Meat in general has a small amount of blood in it. You can not avoid it 100%
1992 - car group in service.. 12/24/91.
as i set there for the field service meeting a older sister name bernie asked a very obvious question?.
"do you ever get a negative response from people at the door, beings that tomorrow is christmas and all?".
Life does change over the years, and I am sure that his exit had many factors to it. No one who is truly strong in the faith, is as strong inside as they appear on the outside.
i like old school disney, because they put so much time and effort into there work unlike today.. .

i wanted my jw friend's perspective on something, so i asked them this question:.
if i read a passage of scripture and conclude about it something that opposes the wt's view of the same passage, in your mind who has the truth about that passage (i.e.
who is correct)?
Witness answer
You should be in full agreement with the society for they are directed by Jehovah's Spirit and thus correct.
Former Witness answer
Sure, but perhaps you should be questioning the Witness answer and thinking if you like that kind of control.
