I went by a protest today. Someone was holding a sign to "stop big banks now," basically saying they agree with the government taking control of the banks and what they do. Next to this person, was a person holding a sign that said, "Make marijuana legal!" So, basically, the OCCUPY movement is in favor of government control, but only if it controls the things they want and not the things they do not want. Problem with that, if you give the government an inch, don't be shocked when they take a mile. Got to love those mixed message liberals.

JWs preparing for some "Special Top Secret Meeting" does anyone knows about this?
by Free!! ini was talking to one of my jw ex-friends today (we keep in contact every once in a while) and she was all excited telling me about the new arregment, a special meeting only for elders, their wives, pioneers and other sheep of "exemplary" conduct... (of course she was invited)..... something about one meeting from bethel that is going to be broadcasted to everyone at assembly halls and translated via radio for those who cannot speak english... is by invitation only (and they are "being discreet w the invitations to avoid offend the ones not invited") and they even gave them tickets they have to present at the door..... anyone has the scoop??

... all I could think of was. 1.) They are actually in agreement of the leader of Iran. 2.) I don't know if I would take any advice from people who thought hiking in Iraq was a good idea. I mean, I dream of hiking national parks, maybe a mountian or two, but Iraq (as in a place at war, unstable, etc.) is not something I consider a good choice. Which explains a lot about their endorsement.

I think the quote I put in this thread from the Congressman says it like it is and is very true. I will tell ya though, banks love the 1% people. As they are about 90% of their deposit balances. Small accounts are made money on through fees, and since most of those are gone now. Well, they will soon find themselves in Credit Unions. I have a hard time understanding, why Durbin would give CU's a one year delay on this law though. If it was not for the fact that he has set on the senate floor saying he hates banks. Weird man! Wierd world! and broken government.
