Yes, but more often then not, their Mormans. The main diff I notice between LDS and JW, is JW suits often look more dated. As LDS often have more money.

You know, your message got me to thinking. Today I had to give a presentation of training that was thrown on me with less then 5 minutes to spare. I gave a one hour presentation, with introduction, points covered and conclusion that made perfect sense and got everyone at the end saying, "thank you so much for your hard work" and "that was wonderful!" You know something, I give full credit for that to the TMS, as it trained me to do that sort of thing to an art after so many years. So I appreciate that, and although I know you might be best to exit now, if you know longer believe. Remember to take the skills with you, their wonderful!

In the Simpson series, there was an episode where Bart and Lisa are taken away from Homer and Marge and put into foster care with Ned. Ned is so perfect, it drives Homer nuts. So when the kids return, he begs Bart for the dirt on Ned. Bart has nothing major, but he mentions that there were old paint cans in the garage and Homer starts laughing (like he found the imperfection) and calls him "old painty can Ned!" Basically, even with a guy doing such a darn doogly good job, there is something they can point out to say "look, you need improvement!"
... well at my work, I work in the companies highest volume in sales location, I work on the highest volume in sales team in that location, and I am the highest volume in sales salesperson on that team. We have the highest customer services scores, and the least amount of canceled sales and complaints. Wonder what that gets you in a corporation? You are pointed out for how you dressed, or how you combed your hair or even how you parked your car. While other locations, teams and salespeople are being counciled for not even doing their jobs in the basics. They find some old rusty paint cans to show, your just not good enough!
Crazy, isn't it! Ever worked for a corporation like this?

I own five Tarot card decks, and use them often. Not so often that I live my life by them, but enough. One deck is one I use more then others, as I feel more of a connection with the cards. Here is the thing though, as a Witness you would have been told these were demons. If I met you in person now and offered to do a Tarot reading for you, would you ... Accept it and see what was said? Accept it, just because you like to try new things? Reject it, because it scares you still? Reject it, because you are a sceptic?
This is not a poll, respond with what ever response you want, just looking to see what former Witnesses would say. I know that when I left the Witnesses, I kind of skirted the idea of occult type items for awhile, because of all that "demon" fear. About 1999 or so, I decided the fears would be no more and got into a lot more then just Tarot Cards and never looked back. Yet for some reason, when I meet former Witnesses in person, and mention these, I get a lot of negative responses. There is still a lot of fear left from the religion or maybe it is something else.
So, how do you feel about them?

While riding in his Limo to the school he was told that an airplane had hit one of the Trade Center buildings
Keep in mind, until the second plane hit, they thought it was an accident and did not know terrorism was involved. It was not like that kind of thing happens all the time and planes have hit sky scrapers before. I think you might have gotten your information from Fahrenheit 9/11, which kind of copied and pasted what worked for them. I blamed BUSH too, until I looked up what he could and could not do. The mayor of New Orleans and the Governor or Louisiana, by far, dropped the ball big time. If it ever comes one day that the federal government can order troops into states, without the state being in control ... I am worried. The state government was responsible for ordering in the national guard and that governor did not have a clue what to do, and her own aids said she was overwhelmed. Which really should have been, she was not qualified. Again, blame BUSH if you want, he did not do anything good. Just remember to educate yourself on what the state and local government failed to do. Very very eye opening!

He's just a cog in the political machinery, like every other politician. Even Dictators only have so much control...
True, and I think that it is a broken machine. No one in politics can give a straight answer. As they know if they actually say or do anything worth noting, the media and other side will take it apart and attack them. Personally, I think the blame game is killing our country, and nothing is getting done. I think we need to fire everyone in politics on both sides!

The "american people" elected gore, by popular vote anyway. It was electoral votes that got Bush into office.
President Garfiend won against Hancock, and lost popular vote. So it has happened before. Although Garfield was killed early in his term. Anyway, electoral college will never go away, even though it was created for a far different time in history and should. It is just something we have to accept, as the smaller states actually like it.
