Transition from Kingdom Hall to Church

I used to attend church from time to time while staying with my father on the weekends, and it was so much more relaxing than the Hall. There was no pressure to fit in with a certain clique and I didn't feel like every movement was being analyzed and judged. Everything was spacious and bright with big windows and an actual band!
What did we have at the Hall? Closed curtains with boarded up windows, drab, green carpeting under uncomfortable seats, and the cheapest sounding tape recorder playing dreary songs that no one could sing in tune to. Some people seemed to scream the songs just so we couldn't hear the crackling music.
I don't go to any church now, but if I had to make a choice I damned sure wouldn't pick the Kingdom Hall.

Is this what dubs do on a convention night now??????
by BLISSISIGNORANCE inhi everyone.. there is a huge dub convention on this weekend where i live.
i can remember how spiritually full i felt on those weekends as i enjoyed a spritual banquet and an abubdance of spiritual food at jehovah's table, in the spiritual paradise, surrounded by spiritual people.
so what's going on these days???????

I'm more a Georgia Peach Tea type myself (Long Island Iced Tea w/ Peachtree Schnapps).
Long Island iced tea is the only mixed drink I buy...usually. I've never had it with Peachtree. I figure if you're going to spend 6 bucks on a drink, it might as well give a proper buzz.
Has anyone had a Zombie? If you drink one, be sure you have a designated driver. That must be the strongest drink available. I drank one at a rib joint a couple months ago and it knocked me on my ass, and I have fairly high tolerance for alcohol. It was like taking one huge shot of rum.
2 oz. Light Rum, 1 oz. Dark Rum, 151% Rum floated on top, 1 oz. Apricot Brandy, Splash Simple Syrup, Pineapple Juice

Children or no Children?
by Sirona inthe jws used to always have discussions about whether to have children "in this system of things".. i used to always think it was pathetic to avoid having kids because of the so-called impending armageddon.. however.
despite the fact that i've always wanted kids, right now i'm not so sure.
just look at the things happening in the world.

I'm too immature to have kids. I wouldn't mind if they came out at around 10 years old and could feed and bathe themselves, but as far as dirty diapers, sticky fingers, and hiding all my drugs...that's not for me.

Me too! (well sometimes I do just a little bit of evil crap, for fun)
The most evil thing I often feel like doing is taking a rocket launcher and blowing up the old man who cuts me off and only goes 35mph in a 50mph zone.
We have a lot of them around here. It's especially annoying in a no-passing zone and when I have somewhere to be.

I deny it.
That's like saying that if one identical twin, raised under the same environmental stimuli, commits murder and rape, so will the other.
They have the same genetic makeup. Regardless of what goes on in our brains, we all have free will. I often feel compelled to do all kinds of evil crap but I choose not to.
