it's been about two months since i've drank coffee, i quit cold turkey don't ask why........just wanted to say i didn't miss it at all and now i wonder how i ever drank this stuff in the first place!.

back to cranberry juice in the am for me!.

anyone else ever give up something and wonder later how or why they ever drank, ate or smoked it in the first place?.

I don't think anyone knows what's good and bad for us. One day coffee's bad, the next day it's good. One day eggs are unhealthy, and before you know it they're not.

My great grandmother lived to be 102 years old. Do you know what was good for her? Whatever she wanted. She at steak fat, lots of pork, and all kinds of sweets and cakes. She always had some kind of roast in the oven when we'd go over to visit. She never smoke or drank however, but her diet wasn't exactly what most would consider healthy.

I'm sure a lot of it's genetic, but I'm not going to force myself to eat foods that I don't care for because today someone says that's how I'm supposed to eat.

Got a letter from my parents...

well, yesterday evening was a little too emotional for my liking... .

i got home to find an envelope in my mailbox from my mom and dad... (i was df'ed 4 years ago and haven't spoken to them since) .

my sister's wedding announcement...she got married earlier this month.

I think I'd give mom and dad a ring and ask them why they did that (or better yet, knock on their door).

No one should be allowed to victimize their own children like that and get away with it.

is it true they don't serve beer after 10:00 pm anymore?

No its not true about the beer thing, last orders is usually 11pm

I thought that midnight was early...

Most clubs around here stay open until 1 or 2 am, but they can't serve drinks after 12.

Evolution - Have you ever thought about...?

why out of all the species that exist only humans seem to be radically different in every shape and way?

its almost as if humans have stopped 'evolving' and have started to diversify in looks rather than in additional mutations.

all haddock look pretty much the same as each other, daisies are pretty much just daisies etc.. in fact it seems that the greatest variety within a species seems to be when artificial means are used (domestic cats, dogs etc..) .

Do our evolutionary friends have any explanations as to why humans look totally different (even within families) whereas most animal species look incredibally uniform within their species?

As a rule, lions don't mate with tigers (even though they can). There are no 'pure' breeds of humans because we take it upon ourselves to breed with whichever race we see fit. Edit: We're much like dogs in that aspect. You rarely see two mutts that look alike.

all morning it's been showing some idiot standing in the middle of the street getting pummelled by debris.

It's a job only for those who are either too stoopid or such ass kissers that that's all they can do to move themselves up the food chain of command.

I believe it. I was watching coverage earlier this afternoon and saw some commando wannabe reporter running from obstacle to obstacle, trying to work his way to the street. He finally got to a metal trash can on the sidewalk (which he claimed was a mail box) and ducked behind it. A few seconds later a piece of the trash can flew off and struck him in the head.

Sigh...I'm beginning to realize why so many people look down on Americans.
