Cook at home or eat out?
by greendawn indo you know how to cook, even just a few simple recipes, or do you hate the idea of home cooking and prefer to always rely on restaurants and take aways, or just prepare easy snacks like sandwiches and melted cheese on toast?

Jeannie, that's almost exactly how I make my lasagna (except I've never tried fennel and I use Bertolli Tomato & Basil pasta sauce instead of tomato sauce).
A 9 X 13 dish usually lasts two people for about a week.

I felt nothing but the urge to leave.
I remember walking around after meetings seeing everyone with smiles plastered on their faces. No one can possibly be that happy, especially within the given environment.

I suppose you should if you need to.
I remember putting some of my mother's Oil of Olay on my face when I began to peel after a bad sunburn. The next day I developed a horrible case of pimpleitis.

I find it saddenging to make someone believe they're good at something when they're not.
This kid may not have been good at anything (depending on the severity of his handicap).
I guess it's time to show my skeptic side and say that the story is most likely false, although it's nice to think that it could be true. Kids are extremely competitive when it comes to sports. I can see them letting the boy get to first or second base, but I highly doubt that they'd let him win the game for the opposing team, especially with people in the stands.
I'm just going by my experience as a kid. Winning was everything.

JWs thoughts on Hell
by Oxnard Hamster inthe jws don't believe hell, as in the place where evil people are tortured for eternity, exists.
they reason that a loving god would not send his own creation to be tormented for eternity.. yet on the flipside, the jws preach that in 1914 (yeah, you all know this arguement.
) there was a big war in heaven, and satan and all his creatures were cast down to earth.

I, for one, do not mind the use of the NWT.
Not that I follow archaic religions anymore, but I rejected the NWT long ago. I believe they substituted the name Jehovah for Jesus or lord way too often. They taught that all those who call on the name Jehovah will be saved, but the scripture should read 'the lord'. The other scriptures around it were talking about Jesus, yet they threw a Jehovah in there for some reason.

Why not send Satan somewhere else?
I've thought about this many times before I realized that it's all a load of BS. So, if the JWs are right, then apparently God wanted some entertainment.

Question for agnostics and/or atheists
by sonnyboy ini've just recently declared my agnosticism to myself and to one other person in my life.
i don't necessarily consider myself an atheist because i believe there very well may be some higher power or non carbon based entities in existence with 'godlike' abilities.
my question is, do you still find yourself secretly believing in god?

I don't believe in God but if I feel like praying I'll do pray.
I can relate to that. After praying every day for so many years, its a hard habit to break. Sometimes I feel guilty if I don't pray before going to sleep, and other times I just say 'f' it.Literally.

Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies, but my recipes are never simple. I like to experiment with different layers of flavor as to not make the food boring. I can make a pot au feu that'll give you an oralgasm.
Since I've been learning to cook, I don't care to eat out at all (except for fast food, which can't be duplicated by earthly means). Nothing I get in a 'quality' restaurant tastes good to me anymore. I've become extremely picky when it comes to flavor, and if the food isn't seasoned just right I can't eat it.

You're right, the "God-belief" is there for most of us exiting the Tower.
I have to wonder if this is due to a fear of death. We've been led to believe that we're going to live forever, but now all of the sudden we're faced with the possibility that this life may be it. It's not a very happy thought.
If I could take a magic pill that would stop me from aging, getting sick, or ever dying, I probably wouldn't even think about the possibility of God's existence.
