Wow, Tetley's work sounds a lot like yours...

In the end I cannot recommend Tetleyi´s work. While it is the result of much diligence in attempting to align the reigns of the various kings of the divided kingdoms, it is beset with so many difficulties arising from questionable assumptions that are never adequately defended or even explored. Its call for radical redating not only of biblical chronology but also of many aspects of ancient Near Eastern chronology is based upon conjectured regnal data for Judean and Israelite kings and is at best ill-advised and at worst foolhardy. This is unfortunate, because good work in Near Eastern chronology of this period could serve to clarify any number of problems. Unfortunately, Tetleyi´s work will not contribute clarity to the chronological enterprise.
Seriously though, what does this work say about the Babylonian kings and fall of Jerusalem?

the talk itself (imho) was far more balanced than the current line from the watchtower.. has that happened before, that a talk has to be pulled or reworked?.

As true Christians, Jehovah's Witnesses value education highly
Through education, we learn how to treat others (Matt 7:12)
Education equips us to care for our responsibilities, both material and spiritual (1 Tim 5:8; g98 3/8 19-21)
By means of education, we learn about God and his purposes
Education should be used to help us obey and praise Jehovah (Eccl 12:13; g99 7/22 13)
WHERE AND WHEN SHOULD EDUCATION BEGIN (6 min)

Its also the last talk I gave before when I left my wife (and cong, and org). I gave the talk, and packed that afternoon. So it has a special place in my heart :)

Besides which, Great War was applied to the Napoleonic Wars prior to WW1.

Leolaia, what I don't understand is why Scholar would bring up the Babylonian Gap. It seems like a red herring to me. There is nothing in the BAR article or anything that I could find written by Thiele or Tetley that cast any doubt on the dates given by Ptolemy's canon.
In short, what is "Tetley's hypothesis"?
