I MUST BE THE ONLY ONE LEFT.... and Scully .... who else ?
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve....
Merry Christmas
i was once part of you.
my love for you is still great.
regardless of where you are in your life my thoughts are with you.
It's simply because the apostate no longer wanted to be shackled with having to keep the requirements that come with being a Christian.
...the requirements that come with being a Christian... you mean like loving your neighbor, loving your family and your children, helping those in need and the less fortunates.... these are the "christian requirements".... which ones did you have in mind Yadirf ? selling WT and Awake magazines door-to-door? Shunning anyone who doesn't obey the old men in Brooklyn blindly anymore? Shunning anyone who dared accept a blood transfusion to save the life of their child...???

i've taken note that the person that goes by the name "outlaw" continues to post daily.
yet, he hasn't entered the thread whose title bears his very own name.
yes, conveniently, outlaw skips past a thread that calls him to account for the lie he spoke about yadirf.
MaximumFlash : I just printed your Christmas Cheer Cookie recipe. Sounds delicious. Have you ever made them ?
this quiz is a monthly feature of harper's magazine and since we seem to have so many brainiacs here i thought i would put you to task... season's reasons.

Valis --- Here you go ...
Unlike most of the other nonfoolish holidays, the history of April Fool's Day, sometimes called All Fool's Day, is not totally clear. There really wasn't a "first April Fool's Day" that can be pinpointed on the calendar. Some believe it sort of evolved simultaneously in several cultures at the same time, from celebrations involving the first day of spring.
The closest point in time that can be identified as the beginning of this tradition was in 1582, in France. Prior to that year, the new year was celebrated for eight days, beginning on March 25. The celebration culminated on April 1. With the reform of the calendar under Charles IX, the Gregorian Calendar was introduced, and New Year's Day was moved to January 1.
However, communications being what they were in the days when news traveled by foot, many people did not receive the news for several years. Others, the more obstinate crowd, refused to accept the new calendar and continued to celebrate the new year on April 1. These backward folk were labeled as "fools" by the general populace. They were subject to some ridicule, and were often sent on "fools errands" or were made the butt of other practical jokes.
This harassment evolved, over time, into a tradition of prank-playing on the first day of April. The tradition eventually spread to England and Scotland in the eighteenth century. It was later introduced to the American colonies of both the English and French. April Fool's Day thus developed into an international fun fest, so to speak, with different nationalities specializing in their own brand of humor at the expense of their friends and families.

12. Until it was officialy moved to January in the sixteenth century, New Year's Day was assigned to what month of the Christian calendar?
April 1st.
i am a non believer but am very interested in dating a jw.
we've never discussed the religion but he is the nicest person ive ever met.
i need information on where they have meetings and when.
Oh, brother, here we go again....
Stefanie, He's 18, and you are? You say : I am a non-believer.... You mean you are atheist, or you are not a Jehovah's Witness? Why do you need information on where they have their meetings and when ? You want to go ? Why don't you ask your JW boyfriend? If he comes from a strict JW family, no, he will not be interested in you. And even if he is, his parents will make sure that he changes his mind. If he really likes you and wants the relationship to continue, he will have to try to convert you. Then a life of misery will start for you....
