Did your wife see the first movie ? Harry Potter and the sorcerer's stone.... She's going to see the second one I presume : Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I just love Harry Potter She should read the books.... there is so much more in the books than can be shown in a two hours movie. I am reading the 4 first books for the 5th...no... 6th time... Rowling did a great job. I can't wait for the 5th book to come out, hopefully soon....

"Demonized" Catholic
by finnrot ini work the night shift in the silicon valley (60 miles south of san francisco) and as i took mission college blvd.
offramp on my way to work, i happened to glance across the road at a huge statue of the virgin mary that is in front of the church near where i work.. the statue is completly silver and was beautiful and peaceful looking as it stood there brightly lit by the floodlight from below.
as i was thinking to myself how beautiful the statue looked to me, the word demonized popped into my head.

you probably will have to have a few sessions with a priest and go over some questions and the cathechism... but I don't know for sure... My father had to get baptized catholic when he was 30 years old, so he could marry my mother, but that was in the early 50s, and in France, in a village where 99 % of the population was catholic and every single one of them attended church.

My Tree is Still Up
by LB init's 15 feet tall and still fresh, not a needle has fallen off yet.
so of course that means that it will remain where it is a bit longer.
sort of enjoyable to wake up in the early morning and see the glow from the tree throughout the house.

We have a drop-dead gorgeously beautiful husky-german shepherd mix, white face and paws, black body, female, almost 2 years old, adopted from the humane society in april after my old Cleo died... She is very playful and affectionate and needs a lot of attention and exercise....

I lived in Delaware when I first came to the US. Maryland is right next to it. I don't really remember... I remember driving around the countryside, stopping at antique shops... I remember how hot and muggy it was in the summer !
