Who has despised the day of small things?
by Know_You inas the apostates increasingly gather courage, poking their vile heads out of their filthy spider-holes, slavering like the mad creatures that they are, as they shake their puny fists at the lord of all creation, jehovah's people may may become downhearted, even despondent.
many, we hear, are slowing down or even becoming inactive.
others have been so bold as to have risen up to question the slave as it faithfully dispenses food in due season.

I am with you concerning Dean's last weeks' outburst. There was nothing wrong with it. Just the media exagerating things. Dean was just trying to comfort all the young helpers in his campaign. Anyway, I like John Edwards, Dean too, our former Governor... but he came up with Act 60 here in Vermont, a catastrophe for education and how education is funded. Kerry is another Bush as far as I'm concerned.... and I sure don't like Bush.... Before all the Bush lovers jump on me, let me say that I am not allowed to vote, as I am still a French citizen.

Get the flu or a real bad cold, with fever, chills, headache, muscle aches, and no appetite whatsoever.... It happened to me last week of December, first week of January. 5 or 6 days with almost no food, just tea, lots of water, orange juice. I lost weight, don't know how much, I don't have a scale, but my tummy was really flat...

My son loves Jolt. I tried it once, almost spit it out. Tons of sugar in the stuff. Horrible.

I finally opened this thread, after seing it on the first page for days.... Coke or Pepsi ? both yuk, yuk, yuk.... Root beer is even worse, all american sodas are just horrible stuff. I'd rather have a cold glass of water - - - as long as it's not city water with chlorine in it, and yes, tea, and wine.

Picture Of Grandpa's Old House
by Undecided ini went over and took a picture of my grandparent's old house when i was a kid.
they lived there untill they died back in the 50s.
my aunt lived there untill a few weeks ago when she went to a retirement home where she would be cared for.. it's a small house and has never been painted on the outside.

It is indeed a small house. Did your grandpa build it? Is it still owned by your family, or strangers? Just curious.

Spankings at the hall.
by avishai ini knew some parents who really beat the hell out of their kids.
anyone else remember this?
seems like when i was a kid, you could'nt go to a meeting without hearing screams of pain from either the b room or the bathrooms.

Smurfette: Is your brother still a JW ? I wonder when I read such horrible stories of small children being beaten like that, what the relationship between the abusive parent and the child is, when the child is an adult. . . and what about these sick elders who beat him too ? How would your brother react if he met one of them now ?

Please give me a question
by galaxy7 in.
well my weekly bible study is coming up this week and i am being blessed with the cuircut servant and his wife.i was told last week to save all my questions for them,(beacause of my difficulty with believing in 1914).
does anyone have a question that they would like me to ask.. .

Well, the Circuit Servant and his wife, what an honor
They're going to drown your doubts and questions in quotes from their New World Translation. And it's hard to argue with them when you don't know the Bible texts very well....
I am not saying that you don't, but I certainly don't. And I am not saying that they know their Bible, but they have rehearsed how to answer these kinds of questions so many times, they usually "win".

I have a question, but it's probably not the one you want to ask your visitors.
1914 is the year Jesus came back "invisibly" and chose the Bible Students as God's only true followers. Where does it say in the Bible that Jesus would come back invisibly in 1914 (what the heck coming back invisibly means?) and who "saw" him, or who decided that Jesus had come back ?
Anyway, almost everything the Bible Students believed in at the time is seen as old light and even apostasy by the current Jehovah's Witnesses. How could they have been chosen by Jesus if the Bible Students of 1914 were all in the dark? So, what the Bible Students believed was good enough for Jesus, but not for the current JWs ?
