I always thought drinking tequila the normal way was punishing. Ugh, my eyes sting and my nose burns just thinking about psycho tequilas...never heard of 'em.
Craziness. Dad, you must be so proud!
number 3 son, ben, finished his 3 years at cardiff university today.
to celebrate, he earlier went out with his pals, got well and truly sozzled in several pubs and indulged in the highly dangerous pastime of partaking in a few psycho tequilas!
so how do you imbibe psycho tequilas?

my ent ordered that my tonsils come out, and i am scheduled for this mini-op next thursday.
i heard that its a lot more painful for adults and the risks are greater.
the dr. said it is mostly just an excruciatingly painful experience, and pain meds will be prescribed to make life worth living for the two weeks following the procedure.

The Dr. said it is mostly just an excruciatingly painful experience, and pain meds will be prescribed to make life worth living for the two weeks following the procedure. She said 1 in about 50,000 people die...citing the greatest possibility of death caused by bleeding. I told her a blood transfusion would be fine, only she wasn't really asking.
If anyone here has had it done, please tell me about it?? Thanks.
who hasn't seen the infamous black and white film footage from 1940 of the tacoma narrows bridge waving and twisting before finally collapsing into the water?
last night on the history channel they were examining an airplane crash from the 1950's and telling about how the engineers determined that there was an aerodynamic anomaly for the crash called "flutter" and that these principles of flutter were also in affect when the tacoma narrows bridge collapsed.. i thought back to when i was a child and saw this famous footage on "you asked for it" and my grandmother had us switch the channel because it was demons that were making the bridge twist like that.
i believed it for a while and was scared to death whenever that footage was replayed on tv.
Funny you should bring the Tacoma Bridge incident up, because I just heard about it for the first time a few days ago. I grew up on the east so I guess that was one demonic urban legend exclusive to the west…or perhaps just before my time?
I guess as kids, my circle of friends were so skilled in the area of demon alertedness that we could freak our parents out. Cause, once, when I was 8, in antique store w. my mom, another sister, and her kids…. one of the other kids knocked a precious antique plate off a shelf, shattering it. We all saw it happen but did not want to get the kid who did it in trouble, so we didn’t say anything. When pressed, he said something like, “(Gasp)…It rolled off the shelf on its own!” They grabbed our arms and ran with us out of the store saying jehovah's name out loud, no doubt. To this day they are all, “remember the demonic antique store?” wa haha. (my best evil laugh)
LOL. That was one cool thing about childhood… blaming crap on the supernatural. Looking back, I wish I had used it more… like, “the demons ate my homework”, and “no, the demons punched my sister, pulled her hair, and locked her out of the bedroom for stealing my clothes.”
i just can't believe it!
after sending the elders a letter (see http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/91796/1.ashx) we get a letter from elder s. that he understands that families are busy, can't be reached for short notice meetings, yada yada yada.
so they are setting another meeting for june 12. .
Your story is amusing. I had a similar experience with the elder's at my hall when I approached them with initial concerns I had regarding false prophesizing and all of the stuff I was reading on the internet. I remember a particular convo I had with two elders, asking them about Beth Sarim. These two were like, "yeah, it happened Rutherford had this mansion he and the rest of the princes were going to reside at after they were resurrected....soooo, and what??" And the PO was one of them and was like a father to me, so I spoke very freely... I was like, "come on dude... this is strange, right?" He just kind of rolled his eyes, smiled, and placed his hand on my back to guide me out of the second school where we were talking.
I figured he would be all, "Now stop looking at the internet, you know how we have cautioned against snares like this".. but instead he just sort of had this nonchalant attitude like, "there there, chrissy you are just out trying to prove to yourself that this religion is false again....haha, what are we gonna do with this one....(points at me & smiles)??"
Sounds like your congregation elders need you to put it in writing with a DA letter. That may be the only way to get through to them.
...and considering i don't have any, it is surprising that i found the nerve to post my photo as my avatar!
i was leery to use my photo thinking someone i knew could catch on to my new apostate antics.
so, i couldn't decide what to use.
madmax, don't feel bad...it took me two hours to figure out the photo thing.
Your reply's made me realize how fortunate I am to actually be able to post my identity. For those of you that are behind-the-scenes exies, I feel bad you have to still go through the motions and and hide your true selves and I don't mean to boast by being all, "look at me wahoo, I don't care who sees me on here," because I can totally channel those of you that are not ready to reveal yourselves and why.
when i went to my blog... http://home.myspace.com/tsunamirid3r .
the girl, buh knay knay in my friends list, i took to prom has her prom picture on there edited....with some other guy beside her... .
now i can't control what friends show up on that list.
Ha! Oh my, that pic is hilarious...
At least you were allowed to attend prom, lucky lil bastard. (j/k) ...and your parents are sending you to college.. Imagine the material you would have for your songs if you were denied both of these basic right-of-passages. Not to downplay your suffering, but I like how you come off with this amusingly disaffected attitude. Maybe you will have a hit indie record come out of all of this angst. That would be righteous.
we've had several very interesting threads going on about how those of us who are still on the inside can work to open the eyes of the witnesses at the district conventions this summer.
since people have been making scattered suggestions on scattered threads, i thought we should start a consolidated thread here that lays all the options out on the table for those that want to be a part of it.
here are the ideas that have stood out in my mind so far (please add any that i have missed): .
I've never considered attending another DC, but these ideas are making me all excited about the possibility of being like... a spy in the house of dub! (get it: Anais Nin...spy in the house of love...oh, forget it)
I look nothing like what parents teach their children apostates must look like, so I am a perfect spy candidate. If anyone catches on and starts raising eyebrows or asking me which cong. I am from, or looking for a name badge and such... I will just smile all sweet and innocently and shrug.
I like all the ideas posted (I can see myself writing cryptic messages in lipstick on the ladies' room bathroom mirrors during long symposiums) but I am also for what I am calling "Reverse seed planting", and project "Befriend single girls scoping for guys"... I'll drop age-relevant comments here and there, like, "We could totally get these guys to notice us if we did not have to wear these darned modest clothes." and... "Why can't we dress like Jessica Simpson...I love the truth, but you girls have to admit, these old-fashion style constraints are causing us to miss out." Maybe that will only work on the loose gals, but it might at least get them thinking, like, "yeah!... this org. does blow. You're so cool sister chrissy from out of town...tell us what else you know!!"
i have been making jewelry for as long as i can remember.
for a few years i earned a living making jewelry and traveling to art shows to sell it, i even had one of those liitle carts in the mall when i was 17...ran it by myself.
i stopped making stuff for a while but i have recently restarted my business and it is taking off!
That's very pretty April... I know I would buy something like that.
Hand-made jewelry is the best..who wants to walk around wearing the same earrings a thousand other people just bought at the mall?
With your digi camera and Creating Webpages for Dummies, you can maybe open up shop online fairly easily.

I was leery to use my photo thinking someone I knew could catch on to my new apostate antics. So, I couldn't decide what to use. As a GIS major I thought hmm, maybe a globe or a navigational symbol...but I thought wait a sec...no way am I going to let the wts continue to control my thought processes. Besides, they are the ones lying to 6 million people...what do I have to hide?
So here I am in this photo, falling off my couch and laughing at how good it feels to be an apostate. WTS kiss my arse. (except you, mom)
..just wondering.. i'd thought of maybe visiting somewhere like turkey later this year.
i believe it's absolutely stunning.
plus, the people are said to be very pleasant too.
Hi Englishman,
I can understand way you would have such concerns. However, although I believe that BBC may be less sweked than the states' media, I still feel muslims are getting a tragically unfair portrait painted for the lot of them. Which is why for global news, I rely on http://english.aljazeera.net/HomePage ... but that is another story. As not all Muslims are extremists or terrorists, there are plenty of media reports to make one think that an English Christian whitie will surely fall vivtim to today's car bombing. But consider that most Islamic devotees are not fundamentalists and by large, are taught to love and respect Christians and Jews. Not that I am promoting Islam, bit it is the world's most prominent religion, that I too have linked with terror.
With all of the violence in the states; 9/11, Green River killer, BTK serial killer, the Beltway boys, and countless other crazies, in conclusion I would say if you would still come to the states for holiday...do consider Turkey!! Here is a site I have bookmarked that may help you a bit...

If you go, I'd love to hear about your travels, upon return!!
