  "I get wicked sick"

  aww..jwbot, you are making me get all misty eyed at thinking back to my days in RI. I haven’t heard anyone use the phrase "wicked" anything, since leaving New England. I thought, now this girl has got to be a nor'easter.... sure enough!!

  To swift, and all other fashion-conscious-but-not-wanting-to-look-like-a-ho-bag-in-your-summer-getup girls: have you seen the new bermuda shorts that are out? The store, Anthropologie has a very cute version that would look adorable rolled up a bit with cute ballet flats.

  dropped wife off at convention this morn...

  i just got back home from dropping my wife off at the convention this morning.

  i took the day off of work so i could celebrate the occasion of freedom from mass-delusional-cult-think-programming.

  out on the porch, sun shinning, birds chirping, scotch in one hand, demon haunted world in the other.. as i was driving my wife to the convention grounds, she thanked me for all the help i had provided her in getting ready for the convention, and for driving her.

  Oops, I said "Gee", which everyone knows is short for "Jesus F'ng Christ". I must remember to avoid that gosh-darn word in future. Oh-oh, I did it again.

  LOL! Right on Runningman. You remind me of myself. I have this habit of taking deity names and incorporating them into my everyday language big time. For some reason, I get a kick out saying all of the stupid words and expressions that were once forbidden. My personal favorite? Here I will demonstrate by using it in a typical sentence I would say… “Christ Almighty!!!…I cannot even choose one!”

  haha. christ the almighty...only we see the irony in this one.

  Hey Josh,

  As Katiekitten said, what a sweet, loving, and patient partner this woman has in you. Hopefully your continued kindness despite opposing views will be an eye-opener for her in that there really are kindhearted non-believers. I know what it is like to have an opposing view with your partner…rather challenging to say the least. As if all of the normal obstacles and ups and downs in a relationship are not enough, the religion thing can truly make or break it.

  Christ knows that if wars can be fought over religious differences, a marriage can be over in two winks and a blink. I sincerely hope you two get through it successfully with your love and respect for one another intact. To get the most out of a marriage you need to be learning from each other and constantly growing together. Otherwise, you will start to wonder…what is the point?

  Yes but of course…. They engage in the worldwide preaching work, supported solely by donations.

  Sure they were in FL. after Andrew hit, and they got some good publicity out of it. Only most people figured they were there side by side with the Red Cross handing out clean water, supplies, and administering first aid to any victim in need, when in reality they were there to assist the bros & sis and engage in a little kh roofing, quick-build style.

  i grit my teeth, i tell you, i just grit them when i hear comments like this one.

  this one guy in the kh has these lame ass comments all the time, and here is his latest, .

  I know what you are saying, Jez. That would have been splendid, had you grabbed him by the throat and asked him these sensible Q’s. In the real world, to them, it is unfathomable that someone could be sitting in the audience questioning the legitimacy of the wts yet continuing to believe in Jah. As I was doing for some time. So forget about it.

  It’s these types of comments that infuriate me. And every kh has this voice. I hear it echoed to me every time I talk to my mom or sister on the telephone. It sickens me that some lunatic in a bad suit, spewing this crap from stage is the reason why my believing family members think with their whole hearts, they are getting better association from some uneducated brainwashed bum sitting next to them than from their own daughter/sister. T his topic strikes a nerve.

  was just reading the topic "its time to say goodbye" and it makes me wonder what is it that makes people who have been here for a long time leave?

  ES- I know what you mean.. I read that ""its time to say goodbye" topic and wondered myself. I was thinking what the heck, what's going on?..are you going back to meetings or something? lol.

  This is the first forum I have ever joined and so far I think it is the cat's meow, as they say. In fact, I wish I would have stumbled across it a few years ago.

  I guess people come and go for various reasons. As said, during certain times in your life you seek more support than in others. I know for me, I cannot express enough, how grateful I am to know I am not alone.
