coffee_black, is your avatar a piece of your artwork?
i wanted to be a ballerina or dancer. but there was no talk of that as a dubbie kid. i took some dance classes in college my first year as a free'd adult. it was a satisfying experience but i realized some dreams go unrealized and that's ok.

What did you want to be when you grew up? Did you live your dream?
by coffee_black ini know things would have been different if i had not been raised as a dub.
since i left the borg, i've been making up for lost time, but still did not fully become what i wanted to be.
i wanted to be an artist... i do some artwork, but it's only a small part of what i do for a living.. how about you?

I'm w. robdar in that people (women in this particular scenario) are not looking for the truth. they are basically looking for your acceptance or buy-in of their predetermined position on the matter.
when women present themselves to you men, asking how they look, it's either because they are feeling less than desirable by societies impossibly high standards, or are just having a crappy day and want some reassurance that even if the rest of the world thinks they are hideous and fat (which if course is usually not the case), you still find us beautiful and totally lovable. so if your SO comes to you and asks if her ass looks fat, (thats fat w. an "f" not a "ph") then duh! everyone knows you better say no, fools.
sure, you can be honest, if you like sleeping on the couch. -

Any apple users in the house?
by chrissy inhey ya'll, hope everyone is doing good:) i was wondering if anyone operates on mac, because i just switched to the g4 powerbook and am still trying to figure a few things out.
all stuff i will probably figure out on my own anyway, but one little thing is spacing and paragraph formations on this forum.
for instance, this line was intended to start as a new paragraph, but something tells me it will not, and instead this will be one single run on paragraph.

Are you a "here I am" or a "there you are"?
by Mulan ina friend of mine read a book about 30 years ago, that said people are basically categorized into two main types.
here's how you define yourself:.
when you walk into a room full of people, do you think to yourself "here i am" or do you say "there you are".. i am definitely a "there you are".

pancakes arent really considered dessert in these parts, unless they have chocolate chips mixed in. maybe they should be since they are made of flour and contain no real nutritional value. i love pancakes too! and french toast while we are at it. but my favorite dessert is...creme brulee!! oh yummie. cracking the top is the best part.

So kid A, how would you explain it if someone were to change? Do you propose that the chemical levels can shift? For example I was an extremely shy person as an adolescent, but have become more extroverted and outgoing as an adult. To answer the question I would say that I am a here I am, there you are, but lets see if we can connect type person. If I am around people I can connect with we usually don't have to plan anything out...we meet somewhere in the middle, naturally.

by pc inhi everyone, haven't posted for awhile.. i am probably just rambling tonight( a few glasses of great red wine) so pardon me.
every once and awhile i just have such great sadness that begins to permiate my thoughts.not just for me but for everyone who has walked this path.
i happen to have a pretty great life, but sometimes this deep sadness rises up in me for all the things that might have been.

My girlfriends cat is a stone-cold killer.
by Low-Key Lysmith ini don't know how to stop her.
we put a bell around her neck so that she makes noise when she moves around but she still manages to kill at least one sparrow or squirrel a day.
i was on the back porch smoking a cigar one afternoon and saw her jump up and catch a low-flying crow right out of the air.

LOL @ stone-cold killer kitty.
maybe she needs cat therapy to work out her homicidal tendencies/eagerness to impress her human friends.
ps. cant wait for apostafest...yes, hope to cya then.
